[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, those podcast guys spent too long talking about things not Supernatural. I got bored.

Jared is so big! And Adrianne is not small!

I have to admit, I was very chuffed when Dean used the names Cliff and Marley in MBV. My music! Most of the stuff he cites goes way over my head. I did see a remarkable number of people on LJ saying no way was that reggae he was referring to, because that would be OOC.

Oh, right. There's another Cliff and Marley that has nothing to do with reggae, but still to do with music? Step off, and let Jamaica have its moment. It's not like Sam and Dean are going to tackle a duppy or a rolling calf any time soon.

Because books.

Dean would absolutely listen to reggae. How is that out of character? He sang along to REO Speedwagon, for god's sake. Even he doesn't have to listen to only one kind of music every single minute.

Fandom aggravates me.

BOB FUCKING MARLEY IS BOSS. Dean gets that. I can't see him grooving to Shabba Ranks, but Bob? Totally.

Oh, man, I got another picture idea.

I kind of hope the show never gets explicit about what Sam's horrible music is. We just know it's relatively emo, and it's on an iPod. It's the end times.

Because books.

And now I want to write a story, tracing their history through the music they listen to. With stuff like how Sam loves a couple of Ozzy tunes, even though he doesn't really admit it till Dean takes him to the show, and Sam caught Dean going through his iPod one day, maybe late S4, like he's trying to figure out who Sam is now through the songs he likes.

The list is a little ridiculous now.

Well, take a break with Dean Winchester vs. The World. Funnier if you've seen the movie, even if you didn't like it. D/C.

And then come back and share your list.

Have we ever heard an example of Sam's music, other than on the episode "Lazarus Rising" when it turned out to be Jason Manns' "Vision"?

No, but there might be an implication that Dead or Alive was less Dean and more Sam. But that might just be fanon speaking.

Dean accused Sam of being into "Asia". But Sam denied it, so we don't know if Sam is into "Asia" or not.

I think in that scene Dean was projecting his substantial love onto those around him.

Dean Winchester vs. The World was awesome.
