You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, take a break with Dean Winchester vs. The World. Funnier if you've seen the movie, even if you didn't like it. D/C.

And then come back and share your list.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I kind of hope the show never gets explicit about what Sam's horrible music is. We just know it's relatively emo, and it's on an iPod.

Have we ever heard an example of Sam's music, other than on the episode "Lazarus Rising" when it turned out to be Jason Manns' "Vision"?

No, but there might be an implication that Dead or Alive was less Dean and more Sam. But that might just be fanon speaking.

Dean accused Sam of being into "Asia". But Sam denied it, so we don't know if Sam is into "Asia" or not.

I think in that scene Dean was projecting his substantial love onto those around him.

Now I long for a flashback scene of Dean singing along to "Heat of the Moment" and not realizing Lisa's walked into the room.

I can only assume that fic was written by a D/C hating troll. The rating is R, the summary is Castiel has a secret to tell Dean.

No warnings, over that they used the word Destiel, the acronym LOL, and their user name has both Dean and angel in it.

Content of said fic? Cas gets pregnant, and Dean punches him because Cas won't sleep with him while he's carrying the egg. Cas miscarries, and Dean apologises tearfully.

Dude, you want to start off by warning for OOC, and then you get to the actual disturbing content of the fic.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I skipped that one, thankfully. Egg fic is as immediately skippable as mpreg, even moreso, because the idea that because angels have wings means that they lay eggs is infinitely stupid. Also, nesting fics.

There was a bamf!Cas one that was gen/pre-slash that was kinda good. Although I was immediately annoyed that Sam was dispatched with a concussion, not to be seen in the entire fic, with a "no Cas, you can't heal him, it might be a trap!". Bwuh? The machinations and contortions some people go through to make a plot work is ridiculous, but to have to do that to rid yourself of a central character you don't want to deal with?

The fic itself didn't have a warning for egg, and I stumbled upon it from the newsletter, not deancastiel, where I see she mentions both eggs and "possible" domestic violence. Possible? If your partner hits you so hard you lose the baby, we're way past "possible."

The BAMFy fic was weird--Sam was so resolutely written out, but Bobby got a fair amount of lines, and Dean was still preoccupied with his brother. So it didn't come across as someone who hated Sam, or who couldn't deal with a third wheel. Why not just have Sam involved and no Bobby?
