Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Evidence supporting Sam's aversion.

I always agreed with Sam. When I was little and Mom and the other adults drug me and my cousins to the local Halloween parades, I was always more freaked out by the clowns than by any of the monsters going by. Never liked them, never will. (Seeley Booth has clown phobia too.)

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Season Seven. Who'd a thunk it? My the boys have changed.

eta: I don't have any news, I was just commenting off of the sets being leased.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

But Ash said explicitly that people don't interact with others unless you do the Enochian magic or they're soulmates. So do you think he was wrong or lying?

Given that Zacharaiah was using the promise of getting to see his mom again to bribe Adam, part of me wonders if keeping the tenants separated is a control issue on the angels' part, and is not how things are supposed to be.

Maybe it isn't knowing Enochian magic but just realizing you're reliving good memories and wanting to meet others that does the trick.

I also really like this theory. You spend time reliving good memories in order to heal the hurt of a lifetime, and when you're ready to move on, you move on.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My the boys have changed.

Goodness, yes. The actors, too, especially Jared. I watched a season 1 episode and then something from this season, and he's done the whole adolescent-to-man thing. He's like a really angsty butterfly.

Because books.

Supernatural pop-up book.

Amazing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's not a popup book, that's a...paper sculpture.

Because books.

Yeah, it doesn't look foldable, but that's what she called it.

It's still pretty cool, no?

It's incredible. I can't work out its mechanics at all.

Crack_impala recced something Dean/Castiel! Whoah. You'd barely think that side of fandom existed if you went by their recs.

DC_everafter has started. It's a little twee so far. And if I never see Uriel made into a pet dog again, it will be too soon. I'm assuming the J2 version was pretty saccharine?

The hell?

It's twice now I've seen the dog named Uriel.

I've once seen a cat named Michael, but in that instance, Cas was the only angel-named human, and Michael was his cat. In the Uriel instances, there was a brood of angel siblings, and Uriel didn't make the human cut.
