Duh moment of my day: Read the io9 recap, and realized Dean was saying "Khan worm" not "con worm". I still don't know what it means, exactly, but I was clearly conflating White Collar with SHOW.

hah, I thought he said "con" worm as well, and made my own "wrath of Khan" joke completely obliviously.
On reflection, I thought it was kinda dumb that the whole plot was because Mother wanted to let Dean and Sam know her plan. If they're so important, why let them know, and since I don't think they're so important, WHY? Yeah yeah, very confident villain, not worried about tipping her hand. It just seems like a waste of time and thought to taunt them.
