I remember Sam drawing something on the inside of the trunk lid, but that was before Dean rebuilt it. I don't know what was done since then. But you'd think they'd have incorporated whatever safeguards they could.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I think they were to prevent demons from getting at the colt?
Also, cool music here at the end.
Yeah, I was noticing the music too.
Yes, if you mean the demons not getting the colt in reference to Sam drawing on the trunk lid, I think that was the episode where Meg was demanding the colt as ransom for John. Sam was planning on leaving it safely in the trunk, but Dean ultimately insisted on taking it with them.
Wow, that was a really abbreviated snippet of the promo.
Longer promo.
That was pretty awesome!
I'm super excited for the longer promo episode.
This week. I need to see it again. Once we got into Lisa and Dean and Ben, I wasn't able to focus on the big picture. Ben telling Dean that Dean was leaving his family gutted me. Seriously. Because kids say and feel over the top things like that and think if they say it, the parents will change their minds. Also, because after a year of playing house, it was true. God, I hate this turn of events.
Dean says he has a heartbroken kid and a woman that is pissed at him. I'm kind of pissed at him as well. I mean, I understand where he is coming from, but it's hitting my buttons and I'm having a hard time looking at Dean the same way. I really, really wish they weren't going down this road with Dean.
Promo for next week is hilarious. "So now you're Polish?" I need some funny after this week. Actually I need Sera to undo what they just did with Dean. I'm going to be so sad if I can't like him anymore.
I'm pretty sure we're not going to get an undo. I'd wager kittens that Dean/Lisa are over.
Personally, I think they should be, because real Dean's not good for a family yet. I think Dean-replacing-Sam can be a great father figure, and providing Ben didn't notice Dean was miserable and medicating like a mofo, things would be great. But he's deeply broken, and he's manifestly dangerous.
The episode felt awkward around that bit, like they should have said a bit more to give it full closure, but I felt it was a long time coming, and I'm glad there was some talk. Sad for all involved, but I think it was for the best.
The bromance was in full swing this week. I absolutely adored the SamandDean interactions. Dean needs this so badly. He's not remotely healthy. And he gets that, what with the pills (are we to guess he's self-medicated with prescription drugs before? when?) and the urging to alcoholism. But he has his brother back, and that's his favourite crutch.
I like a partially failed mission too. I'm trying to think back to others of this character--Heart? What else? Sure, the world is safe from this MotW threat from this moment on, but they had an innocent right there, and they lost her. Also made me think of all those Dean-donates-a-kidney-to-Sam fics, and made them a little creepier.
I am *so* psyched for next week, you can't even believe. I wept tears of disbelieved hilarity the first time I watched that clip, and I couldn't even hear the audio. I love Dean and Sam's confused faces, and Misha's everything faces.
As a big fan of Lisa & Ben, I was glad to see them again. I was even more glad Lisa continued her streak as a strong-willed independent woman who put a lot of the baggage right back where it belonged, on Dean.
I think it's heartbreaking that Dean recognizing how bad for them he is. His work, his life, his damage, it would seep like a miasma through their lives and he knows that. It doesn't make me like him any less at all. It doesn't make Ben any less heartbreaking.
The montage was sickly sweet, and over the top. Also, Lisa called Dean six times and he never called back? Wait? What? Wasn't Dean calling her over and over and she wasn't answering? I prefer that version of the story and I'm sticking to it.
I love the untenable nature of their relationship. He can't say what he wants because he can't contemplate having it or even begin to know what he does want. And Lisa is doing what she should do, moving on.
It was fun seeing Sam work an old school haunting, even if it had a tragic twist.
I cannot wait until next week!
I was even more glad Lisa continued her streak as a strong-willed independent woman who put a lot of the baggage right back where it belonged, on Dean.
She's alive, she's pissed at Dean, and she's moving on. I really liked that about her. She's not fridged, and she's not pining, and she's not thinking *any* of this is her fault. Because, aside from possibly the fact that she made a bad choice of mate, it's so all on Dean and his inability to commit himself properly to domesticity and a romantic partner.
Thing is, I like Dean broken (cf alcoholism), so I'm not going to be upset that the brokenness I adore so much has ramification. It's part of the emotional torture porn I sign up for.
Getting happy Dean wrt Sam is great, because it's bittersweet, hard won, and unlikely to last. Torturing Sam for my dysfunctional fun is much more acceptable, and will no likely happen again pretty soon.
How much did I love Dean freaking out over the passed out Sam? There hasn't been enough Sammy this season (and yet I still miss RoboSam--what's with that?).
