Cool...thanks.
Okay, next question, which of those horses could one insert into the 1830s Wild West without too many questions? I mean, I don't think it
has
to be a canonical Wild West horse, because there's magic involved in the transformation, but nobody's freaking out at its existence so far...
That doesn't mean he couldn't swing by and be Daddy...
I don't think it's too much to ask. IJS.
The quarter horse was the main horse of the cowboy era.
Quarter horses would work: I would go with a reining or cutting type quarter horse - but possibly with less extravagent mane and forelock. (The extra hair is mainly a current style. . .)

Quarter horses are wonderful*. They really would be a perfect horsey substitute for the Impala.
* Except for one particular QH by the name of Dudley who was evil on four hooves and largely responsible for my unwillingness to ride any more.
My cousin says that the only horse that went over backwards on her (i.e., reared up and went backwards) was a quarter horse.
She dislikes them.
So cautionzombies is taking a breather from writing 300 Things and writing a
Western!
W00t!
::eyeballs ita's horsey request with suspicion::
Oh, cool. I'd thought it was Mustangs or something else that all the cowboys were riding.
Which might very well be quarter horses--I'm that ignorant.
Thanks. We'll see if I get up the courage to include a horse in any of my illos.

WHAT??? She needs to focus and finish her damned story. Why do people insist on trying to have minds of their own?
At least she's still in the right fandom?
(seriously. But. WESSSSSTEEEEERN)
ION, I realized today that Cas has an addictive personality. It all makes sense now, his fixation on Dean, his taking to drugs in the bad future.
