The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

There's a gen BB, too, but I have no idea if that's pulling a significant number of writers away from the main BB or not.

At least the main BB pre-sorts the fics by genre (J2, Sam/Dean, other slash, het, gen) for the artist sign-ups.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What are the dates for the gen BB?

Nanoochka wrote a thing that wasn't Play Turns Bitter. Nanoochka wrote a thing that was Dean/Cas/Bal. I read it kinda squinty not because I have an issue with the pairing, but because the politics/characterisation was a bit wonky for me.

On the other hand, pr0n.

I think it's at her LJ or linked to from deancastiel, but I read it on my phone so it's all confusey.

Thanks, Anne. I'll give it a look when I get home.

Of course, now I'm wondering...can I draw gen? So much of my shit is shippy. It's what I seem to be drawn to.

Right! Weechesters! Lemme at them. I'll totally do that.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

ita, u can do eet!

Generals scares me. I've read the summary and warnings and pairings, and nan burned me with her last multi-chap fic.

Cas song: I oddly haven't found one yet, as I am all about vidding in my brain and pestering y'all with potential vid and fanmix songs.

A lot that I think apply to him are more Boys songs; him, Sam, and Dean. And the rest I've heard are vague at best. Roads by Portishead, Blackheart by Calexico, Pagan Angel and a Borrowed Car by Iron & Wine, Seven by Will Derryberry, Lay and Love by Bonnie Prince Billy...

Although, Tom Jone's "Ain't No Grave" is pretty good.

Generals is very dedicated to the porn. I just didn't dig the motivation.

I found the perfect Cas song. I just don't know what it is called. It was about a fallen angel on a mission the other angels didn't understand. And full of angst. Perfect. And ungooglable.

I have to say, I'm rather surprised at the voices for Beautiful Loser. I mean, I thought it was great, perfect, for the story being told, but so absolutely different from the norm for Show.

All the other ones mentione are of course fabulous, and yes to everything about Spirit in the Sky.

Fic: yellow_pomelo's animatrix fusion/AU is fascinating (and gen, so far, though with a hint of preslash) and nicely written.

For me, Peter Gabriel's "Digging in the Dirt" is the perfect S4 dysfunction song.

Other songs I associate with the show are James McMurtry's "Too Long in the Wasteland" and Robert Plant's "Big Log."

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

OMG, only just two days ago I discovered Robert Plant's solo albums (I already had an Allison Krauss duet and was wondering why the dudes name was so familiar).
