Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it's at her LJ or linked to from deancastiel, but I read it on my phone so it's all confusey.

Thanks, Anne. I'll give it a look when I get home.

Of course, now I'm wondering...can I draw gen? So much of my shit is shippy. It's what I seem to be drawn to.

Right! Weechesters! Lemme at them. I'll totally do that.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

ita, u can do eet!

Generals scares me. I've read the summary and warnings and pairings, and nan burned me with her last multi-chap fic.

Cas song: I oddly haven't found one yet, as I am all about vidding in my brain and pestering y'all with potential vid and fanmix songs.

A lot that I think apply to him are more Boys songs; him, Sam, and Dean. And the rest I've heard are vague at best. Roads by Portishead, Blackheart by Calexico, Pagan Angel and a Borrowed Car by Iron & Wine, Seven by Will Derryberry, Lay and Love by Bonnie Prince Billy...

Although, Tom Jone's "Ain't No Grave" is pretty good.

Generals is very dedicated to the porn. I just didn't dig the motivation.

I found the perfect Cas song. I just don't know what it is called. It was about a fallen angel on a mission the other angels didn't understand. And full of angst. Perfect. And ungooglable.

I have to say, I'm rather surprised at the voices for Beautiful Loser. I mean, I thought it was great, perfect, for the story being told, but so absolutely different from the norm for Show.

All the other ones mentione are of course fabulous, and yes to everything about Spirit in the Sky.

Fic: yellow_pomelo's animatrix fusion/AU is fascinating (and gen, so far, though with a hint of preslash) and nicely written.

For me, Peter Gabriel's "Digging in the Dirt" is the perfect S4 dysfunction song.

Other songs I associate with the show are James McMurtry's "Too Long in the Wasteland" and Robert Plant's "Big Log."

OMG, only just two days ago I discovered Robert Plant's solo albums (I already had an Allison Krauss duet and was wondering why the dudes name was so familiar).

Because books.

(I already had an Allison Krauss duet and was wondering why the dudes name was so familiar).

Please tell me you knew who he was, though.

I have separate Sam and Dean playlists, and I love them both. Sam's has stuff like the Stones' "Memory Motel" and Diane Birch's "Forgiveness" and Fountains of Wayne's "California Sex Lawyer" and Steely Dan's "My Old School."

Dean's has "House of Wolves" and "Coin-Operated Boy" and Supertramp's "Goodbye Stranger" and Joni Mitchell's "Raised on Robbery" and Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell."

Yes! Though she ended a bit abruptly with the last one in the timeline. I do hope there's more, or more clarity as to what it meant.

Digging In The Dirt is a good SPN song. I hadn't looked at the lyrics before.

Most of these other songs are new to me.

There's a link upthread to a RoboSam vid to Coin-Operated Boy. It was kinda apropos, even though I didn't like the vid itself.

I KNOW! It was so tragic, omg did he die? was this his salvation?! It just went so abstract and it didn't hit me that the red apple was the hook and would it work IRL and "what did you do to me?" WHAT HAPPENED?!!

I didn't quite get the coin-Sam vid.

Sorry, Amy, I'm a bad fan (I also have the memory of an ... I forget the name.... alzheimer. Seriously.) and I couldn't place Plant. And then went ballistic because an SPN soundtrack fave went all bluegrass on me and I was in heaven.
