[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

That was hilarious. Castiel was just so...Castiel, even as whipped topping.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

That was freaking brilliant!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Suggestion - when the hellatus is over (or even sooner), do you think we could move fanfic discussion over to the fanfic thread? Didn't we separate things out when we had the various Jossverse threads?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've wondered that. It feels like most of the chatter in here is fic and, yay, thriving fic but if there is this much fic talk, perhaps the fic thread would work? I worry I miss show talk inbetween the fic talk I am skimming.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I could see fic recs and notices that the X/Y Big Bang will start posting in February going here, but maybe the actual discussion/squee/gnashing of teeth could go over in fic. I have the same worry about discussions getting missed/overshadowed.

Also, though I hate to admit it, and I'm not sure why this is happening, a number of things that others find squee-worthy in fic are things that are starting to make me less than comfortable.

Because books.

It's fine with me -- that's what the fanfic thread is for, right?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm happy either way. I've got Fic bookmarked too, so I won't miss anything if the fic talk moves over there. but I love the fic talk (though I do skim some of the squickier stuff) and I don't mind having it here.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh. I just have this vision of us driving everyone else away from the fanfic thread.

Not only does no one post in there about SPN fic, the one time I did, it got resounding silence. I think most of the people there are categorically not SPN people.

Which isn't to say I'd rather run you guys out of a place than them, just that I don't think that when there's show fic ever overwhelms canon discussion. It's just something to talk about to pass the time when I don't have anything new to talk about Show itself.

Sorry.

Do the ficreaders in this thread read the fanfic thread?

Amy - Jan 11, 2011 2:02:59 pm PST #16965 of 30002
Because books.

I don't, but I don't read any fic other than SPN unless someone tells me to (hi, Perkins!).

The few times I've peeked in there recently, it's seemed pretty low on traffic, too.

Possible compromise: post links to recommended fics with appropriate warnings here, but with a note to discuss it in the fic thread, a la Press and Lightbulbs?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do the ficreaders in this thread read the fanfic thread?

I do, and would.

I also have a knee jerk reaction against people being told (even very nicely, as they were here) that they are talking about something too much and they should go talk about it somewhere else though.

t /my issues, let me show you them!
