Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

H and I have been Netflix Instant Watching Full Metal Alchemist.

I think Kripke may have been a fan. There's a lot of brotherness that sounds awfully familiar, plus a seriously disastrous event that affected one of them completely and the other partially that they're both living with and trying to find the solution to reversing the spell-gone-wrong thing. I'm not actually looking for echoes or parallels, but they keep cropping up anyway. Gives me pause.

It's more a cartoon than anime, but it does offer a glimpse into anime-ing SPN.

And you didn't accost him? I don't know if I'd have had the moral fortitude to resist, Calli.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

And you didn't accost him?

I've gotta work on my upper body strength before I try that. Like I said, exercise motivation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Calli, in the meanwhile, toss him in my direction. I'm as motivated as I need to be.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, yes. I would not be at all surprised if Kripke had seen the series. It's good stuff indeed.

Though I don't see too many ways to write parent-free protective older brother, but you never know.

I wish we'd get some news about when and where we can see it over here.

I have a region-free dvd player and I'm not afraid to use it, as long as the dvds are subtitled, I tell you what.

Has it started airing in Japan yet?

IO9 is full of strange people, who keep suggesting skipping seasons 1 and 2. I...I don't know how to talk to them, really. I have two versions of lists of episodes from S1 to watch (1 is arc-only, 1 is arc-plus), but I don't even like handing those out. Watch everything except maybe the racist truck. Maybe Bugs. Maybe. But seriously. Have you people no hearts? Johnny come latelys, alla them.
