Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Wow that makeup effects apparatus is strangely erotic.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I was thinking the boys looked awfully young. That explains it.

Y'all know this is my number one show. I dream about it. Becky might have to fight me for number one fan. That said, I'm not feeling this season. I'm not worried about it because I felt the same way about season three. I'm here for the marathon and not the sprint. I can live with every third season doesn't touch my soul. I have two more awesome seasons before season Nine.

Wayyyyy back there was an interview linked (and I'm too lazy to look for it) where Jensen said he wasn't happy (as a fan) with his character in these early episodes of the season either. He felt OOC. There was an implication that he was much happier from there on. So yay!

I have mixed feelings about the show because I'd rather watch an episode from this season or season three than almost anything else on television. I shouldn't complain just because I know how OMGWTFBBQ it can be when it is hitting on all cylinders.

And even after all that, I am beside myself happy that show is tonight. Boys!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those are the same photos that Morgana linked to that looked like they'd leaked from someone's private collection. They're just so up close and intimate.

I think Jensen's photo is the one that makes it seem private. Turns out he was on display for everyone. I suspect both boys turn toward crude humor for default mode. I imagine him laughing like a 12 year old as soon as the picture was taken.

That one is the kicker, but it's obviously someone who they're comfortable with backstage, and it really doesn't look like fan or professional stuff.

I thought it looked like trusted crew snapping some photos. But boys are smart enough to know that anytime a camera takes a picture, the potential is there for it to be on the internet. I can't see either one of them upset by the pictures.

Because books.

That said, I'm not feeling this season. I'm not worried about it because I felt the same way about season three.

I don't feel that way at all, and I was a little worried I would. But I think for the first time, I was actually concerned and baffled by Sam -- previously, I always believed he was so SAM deep down, that even while drinking demon blood, he was motivated by doing good. I never truly believed he would go darkside.

And while I don't think they would do that now either, especially not for an extended period of time, it's been fascinating to wonder what the hell is up. I'm loving all the new curveballs -- Sampa and the family, the amped-up monsters behaving strangely, and especially Dean's lovely angsty connection to a family he chose, instead of the one he was given so long ago.

I keep coming back to the broken mirror, too. For me, it's all about this role reversal they've got going on, even if only temporarily. I was worried about where you go with a show after you stop the frigging apocalypse, you know? And I can see now it's going to work.
