I have a theory about Sam watching Dean and the vamp, but I'm not sure it holds up.
At the time, I thought maybe Sam was caught up in the memory of drinking the demon blood and/or wanted Dean to experience the kind of compulsion that he'd felt. Force Dean to walk in his shoe.
I guess that's two theories.
maybe, but he knew that drinking vampire blood in particular would turn Dean.
he also knew (apparently) how to turn him back, but that was a huge risk that Dean didn't agree to.
Sammy! I am now fascinated officially by everyone and everything. He looked genuinely concerned there...after a while. But deliberately cool up to that point. And when Sampa thinks you're off, you're off.
And then there's the rift between Dean and Lisa if it exists. I suspect Sam's happy about that, because he gets more of Dean back. I think he wants Dean all to himself. He seemed very happy to have him back after the cure, and not just so he could tell him the inside scoop.
Cas next week! And truths!
Slightly different promo pic. Cas just looks so regular (cute) guy. Want angel back.
Sam could just be super pragmatic and thought the cure was more of a slam dunk. Or something. Glad we find out soon.
So we have shifters breeding more shifters and vampires recruiting more vampires. Hm. And usually local monsters in exotic places. I don't know where they're going with this, but it seems to be somewhere.
I really enjoyed the Twilight/Blade mashup aspects of that episode. Fun!

his head looks pasted on.
I'm hoping Sam just hasn't realized yet that he's not always in control.
I think Sam feels he's more in control than ever before.
I think Sam feels he's more in control than ever before.
I think they've beaten that character trope/storyline into the ground already though, haven't they? Sam's arrogant, Sam's a control freak, Sam's proud, oops, he's going evil again... I'm relieved it looks as though we might finally be getting at some answers next week. I'm hoping we can do it with a minimum of fisticuffs, because I don't enjoy watching them whale away on one another.
Y'know, the episode started out as so much fun, and then it just got all dark and disturbing.
I'm finally watching, about halfway through.
Does anyone else think that this is absolutely terrible? From Sam's flaily hands as he or Jared spectacularly fails at pretending to attack the vamp, to the dialogue long after the Twilight mocking should have been over, to Dean's squinty eyes of evil. Hell even the lighting and texture within a scene changes depending which actor the shot is on. I didn't even look like Sampa and Dean were in the same country, let alone the same room.
I'll rewatch later today when I'm actually awake and it's not 4am, and hopefully I'll be less bitchy. Maybe too much Twilight going on right now, between this and Polar Night.
