Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You missed stuff. Thumbs up went to, IIRC:

List might not be correct--Julie and I didn't always agree, so I might have misspoken for her. But I'd say that 1/3-1/2 of the fic (RPF not counted) that's been produced so far is worth a read, which is a higher percentage than I thought decent of the main bang.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

Oh man I definitely did. I caught & saved the last two only to read. Thanks for the recap!

ETA: & the links. That's awesome.

Enjoy, ehab. I hope I included the CM one in there. I meant to.

Laga, I read the first chapter and a half of that fic, and I can't get past my grammar and punctuation issues. And the prose style just doesn't work for me.

Hmm. I'm gonna add:

  • Rivers of Babylon (darkfic): >[link]

  • A Love Story Told In Reverse art rec: [link] The story is...in need of a good beta. And I don't like the characterisations of Mary or John and Dean doesn't come off too well himself (eta: okay, I'm going have to say I have even more issues with the prologue characterisations than even that). But the overall idea is an interesting one, and I like how the plot plays out in the end, and am interested in the sequel.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm so overwhelmed by all the Giant Fic that I can't speak honestly as to the yayness or even remember what some of them were about. They weren't all awful, but...

Contrapasso I think is a giant Yay and worth a reread or three and an add to my memories. The others . . . I blame ita for making me expect three dozen Thursday's Child out of the DCBB. That perfect blend of a continually forward-moving plot, angst, whump, issues, whump, sexytimes, whump, epic awesomeness, and whump.

You blame me??? No fair! Some of the recs I listed for ehab were ones you liked, not me. Like Perpetual Motion--that's on you lady lady.

I made it as far thru the Star Wars one to get to the sex scene and it was all holistic Jedi mind force sex with sharing and caring and I just...ick. And strongly italicised. Also Sam is very pouty and jealous of Dean. Skippity skip.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

heh.

I blame you for introducing me to Awesome and ruining me for all other fic.

Did you read the de-aged Dean fic? I rank that with Contrapasso as my favourite right now.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Not yet. I've been trying to get the apartment clean for visiting family, so the lack of sexy times potential had me put it on the backburner for now.

But I did reread Our Hell is a Good Life, didn't like it as well as I remembered. Ending felt, not rushed, but not invested in, a different tone, more expository. I still love every inch of the beginning and middle, though.
