I am the fly who dreams of the spider

As for Missouri, beyond any meta reasons, I imagine that having a psychic, like a prophet or an angel, would make things too easy if they were around often. Doesn't mean she couldn't be around just as much as the other two, but it's also one more character to explain why they aren't turning to her aid.

that said, I'd love to see her dry no-nonsense wit again.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I got them confused. I disliked Perpetual Motion because of ethical issues. Halloo, nelly!

Which was the one with high school?

And which was the one with de-aged Uriel? I thought that was a crap D/C fic, but by the end of it, I was oddly in love with Uriel.

I thought it was entirely unreasonable of Future!Cas to need Past!Dean to fulfill Future!Dean's emotional and physical responsibilities (okay, that's a bit of a strong word, but you get where I'm going) to him. I think Past!Dean could have been a lot nicer, but Cas, he's not the guy you've been sleeping with this whole time. Back the hell off him.

I don't usually ask for less porn, but that story could have done with it dialled down. It was abrupt. I didn't buy a crescendo of lust on Dean's part that just had to be indulged.

Which was the Dean/Jimmy Dean/Cas story? I was disappointed by that one. Wandersfound is usually better than that (eta: yeah, I see I have three fics by her bookmarked). This one lacked emotion for me. It felt like I was being stepped through the motions. And you really have to sell me Dean/Jimmy. She didn't.

Have you read Reaching For The Ground yet?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hmm, WB just sent me email asking me to review my purchases with them. Now it was supposed to be seasons 1 & 2 of SPN but they had the worst customer service and I finally had to cancel the order. Do I review?

Because I would explain that the product is wonderful but I'd never shop there and would encourage others not to do so either. Not even because they sold more than they expected, but because they promised a ship date and then just silence even when I was begging for info.

I don't know that I've read a highschool dcbb yet, but lj is finicky in sending me notifications. I think about 10% of them get through.

And which was the one with de-aged Uriel? I thought that was a crap D/C fic, but by the end of it, I was oddly in love with Uriel.

"Can't Smite My Love". Oh god, that was such a Uriel-fic, with barely any D/C. I didn't expect to love Uriel, but I did. The little fucker. Didn't buy that Dean and Cas would be so idiotic as to discuss guardianship in front of him, but otherwise, the story of the tiny bastard was gold. "I'M SMITING ALL OF YOU RIGHT NOW!!!!"

Haven't started Reaching For Ground yet, the summary doesn't intrigue me (Sam, the sheriff of Hell, really?) and I have to do things like get my car inspected and work side jobs to pay for lapsed insurance and clean the apartment before Mom visits.

Wandersfound has always almost hit my buttons, but keeps falling short. Some of my kinks get a glancing blow, and then the follow-through or the actualization of them is so lacking. I actually rewrote her last multichapter fic in my head to better suit my needs, because it was almost there. This is one BB that didn't end up in my inbox for mysterious reasons.

I'm not sure how much leeway you have in the review, Cass. I seem to recall starting mine, but I don't remember if I finished it.

Sam, the sheriff of Hell, really?

She tried to play nice about it, but I was pouty anyway. I don't want any Hell in my Sammy, thanks.

My sister has been ragging on me to read and review Inception fic for her. I finally explained to her that my pairing was having a big bang, plus the volume of fic that appeared on the general SPN newsletter daily, and she was agog. And then I was agog, because I really read too much of this stuff. But even as I bitch, the quality of the stuff that is good is much better than what she'd settled for in her previous fandom (Brokeback Mountain). She's been impressed with the SPN stuff I've passed onto her.

I'm not actually seeing any apparent highschool fic in the DCBB. Maybe it was swingset or the newsletter?

Maybe it was the Secret Angels exchange.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I find myself just hoping that Scaramouche will write a sequel to her HS AU.
