Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I find myself just hoping that Scaramouche will write a sequel to her HS AU.

Seriously, Matt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She said she didn't have enough for a sequel, but that she might do a first date timestamp. Want. Badly.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm not sure how much leeway you have in the review, Cass. I seem to recall starting mine, but I don't remember if I finished it.

I finally went over and looked at the actual form. There is a spot for content comments and one for service comments. Oh, I filled that form out and submitted it, yes, I did.

Oh, and What The Hell Am I Doing was ultimately anti-climactic. Way to get me worked up and wanting BDSM and, oh, a casefile resolution, and providing neither.

What bothers me in a lot of D/C fic is, just as the hot and heavy is about to start, we get thrown a "Dean has been suppressing this emotion/feeling" or a "the last time they tried this it didn't work out" (mostly the former) when for several thousand words I've been reading in the context of canon until told differently. You can do a lot of "show" and suddenly whip out the "Dean has always felt this way but didn't know it", but to not do that and then "tell" --it just doesn't work, narratively. And the worse affront is to suddenly whip out a previous encounter two sentences before the necessity for an NC-17 rating. Like, shouldn't I know this shit as your telling me all the other things Dean is feeling for and about Cas? Like the context that there was this whole other aborted initiative?

All that ranted, the first sexual encounter (please let there be more?!) in Destiny of a Hunter was hot. A bit different from the pack, which is always nice.

Ooh, I'd better get on that. I'm not sure I'm getting back into the dead Sam fic right now. The Cas in it is (reasonably for the AU plot, I suppose) unrecognisable, and I miss him, dammit. However, there's a promise of Dean/Cas/Jo, and well, mmm.

It's in part 3, and beyond the wtf-suddenness, it's just completely different in the approach and attitude than I've ever seen before, which, especially given the "suck bottom lip, 1-2-3 finger approach . . . it's just different and refreshing and hot for that newness, without being explicit or lewd.

"We need to get this over with," Dean said.

"Yes," Castiel said with a deep sigh of exasperation.

I mean, whyTF is that so f-ing hot to me?

(as I deeply scar the adamantly non-angel-shippers, Sorry!)

eta that really, what I found hot, oddly, was the dialogue. The physical descriptions are almost subpar and cheesy, but the dialogue is freaking scorching.

Okay, Destiny Hunter lady?

It was a year to the day since he'd driven into that cemetery in Hull

STULL. STULL. I feel mottsy for you.
