You do get that you're wedging canon into that asexuality you prefer, right? Because even if it's a retcon, Gabe's sexuality in Tall Tales is on the record.

He is King of the Crossroads, and was wiley enough to get a hold of Death's scythe. He might have the pull to get a hold of Samuel (who was in Hell, not Heaven!) and his payment in return for keeping Sampa and Sammy of the pit is payment in powerful munsters.
