one thing, Sam wasn't in the room to overhear the mentions of "father/our father", unless he hung outside the door for a full minute before coming to the rescue.
There seemed to have been a number of director errors. I wonder who it was?
Echoing all the continuing Lisa love, though I think she's more than a little nuts to accommodate Dean's life style. I found myself hoping they could make it work. I'm quite sure the Campbells are part of the big bad this year, but I also think show has cleverly set up an alternative to Lisa so onerous that she might become palatable to those who wish her dead.
In somewhat surprising to myself news, I find myself liking softer dad Dean and hoping he can juggle hunting and home. I like it because it represents growth and actively making choices not to be his father's kind of father.
Sam I'm just concerned about. He's not right. They all seem brain-washed in some way.
My one potentially unpopular declaration: I hope they never attempt another Sam & Dean & baby episode again. I found the Raising Arizona cheesiness horrifying. There was nothing funny to me about the baby in the back seat or the dirty diaper jokes or the shopping for baby gear. My ovaries were unmoved.

Yep. Even Gramps said, "Sometimes I wonder about you, Sam." To which Sam replied, "Sometimes I wonder about me, too."
I hope they never attempt another Sam & Dean & baby episode again.
The baby smiled and my ovaries twinged at that and Dean with the finger of whiskey was hilarious, but I'm with you, ehab. I'm content not to see this kind of storyline again.
I'll repeat what Bev said last week, Jared looks much better when he's not doing the Mr. Universe thing.
Writer was Adam Glass (first time on spn), director was John F. Showalter. He also directed Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid.
Someone upthread (apologies!) mentioned that they were irked at the reveal of the baby, and I was wondering about this watching it, what all the subterfuge was, since I thought it was obvious that it was a baby. And maybe I thought it was obvious because of the promo, or the sneak peak, or the spoilers I saw, or the title that came up on my channel guide. Others completely out of the loop for all of these things can maybe say otherwise. But maybe, I was thinking, the hilarity was supposed to be in actually knowing the entire time that they were discussing a spawn.
Speaking of which, the metal teeth chomp dun Dun DUN! music at the baby's reveal was hysterical.
First DCBB is here!
tomato omelet with hollandaise:
Not saying it is great, but just like with real parents, better emotionally than never seeing them
That makes sense to me. I still worry what happens when Lisa falls in love with someone [else]. Someone else who wants to be a dad to Ben. I don't think Show would go that messy domestically dramatic a route when it's not about Sam and Dean.
Was it here that someone mentioned Christian and Cas being good together? How?
I don't get the food references in thread lately. They do make me hungry though.
ehab, serial posting = cereal = what we had for breakfast.
First DCBB is
terrible.
(by which I mean Shelter from the Storm").
Does anyone know when the Hunger Games crossover comes out? That's the one fic I've been looking forward to. I may hold off reading Mockingjay until after that fic so as not to be done in that verse before reading the SPN version.
ETA: Doh. I hate when I need the pun explained.
If it is trinityofone, October 19th.
eta
it is.
Was it here that someone mentioned Christian and Cas being good together? How?
It was me. I think they would have an interesting dynamic, and by that I mean porn.
Okay, who are your dream guest stars for SPN?
- Jessica Alba (I just like the idea of Dean meeting her and meta)
- Christian Kane (for the reasons mentioned and meta)
- Claudia Black (impala Claudia FTW)
- Wil Wheaton (because he has to be on every show)
- Felicia Day (see above)
- SMG (the buffy meta would be too funny)
