I don't I've seen this much gore in a single SP ep. (Of course I did not join to show until after John's death, so have missed a several seasons.) Never watched ER. So the gore bugged me. Not a lot, and I don't think it was gratuitous. A reaction, not a judgment. "Shit, they just made another black character a Judas, and then dead" was a judgment.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I don't think it was too gory before John died so you've probably seen as bad as it's been. eta: I just remembered the first shapeshifter episode. It has been worse. "Omg Dean's taking off his shirt! OMG Dean's taking off his skin!"

Sam is Riley!

Oh, I totally went there.

Kneel before Glod. ~Stephen Colbert

Well, we know now the angels know Dean is the only one who can stop Armageddon. You've got to think these "Hell's Angels" will likely have Dean on their hit list. And then what is Sam's role in all this?

I do think Uriel was a very interesting and surly character, and I'll miss him. I was struck early on by how very much Uriel's attitude toward humans seemed very nearly like Lucifer's. I am surprised and intrigued at the idea of "dark-side" angels, as well as what Castiel's next move will be. Hopefully, Dean's guardian angel.

As for Sam... Boy, oh boy.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Holy shit.

I just finished watching, and... wow. That last scene with Dean and Castiel was harrowing. Poor, poor broken (in so many ways) Dean. That scene left me really believing that he was ready to give up.

I do fear for what will happen when Dean finds out what Sam has been doing to boost his strength (I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he is not going to find out from Sam himself). I don't think it's accidental that the Uriel vs. Castiel fight was framed as brother vs. brother, or that you've got one of the pair thinking he is doing what is right and necessary and the other one very much in doubt of his own righteousness.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think I prefer my renegade angels to be doing what they believe is the Lord's work loyally, just in a way that will result in extinction-level collateral damage, rather than defecting to the other side or sneering at the very idea of God. Gabriel in Constantine worked very well for me, Uriel not so much.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm sure that Dean won't find out from Sam. I saw the vamp-ho Rilesque scene in the Canadian promo and uh- yes went to the Riley thing.

I was also disappointed that Uriel turned out to be the rogue. I wonder if Uriel has been doing something to make Castiel less effective against, say, Alastair - because I agree that it's wrong that he has less power than Sam does.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

"Shit, they just made another black character a Judas, and then dead" was a judgment.

Thank you. That ruined an otherwise perfectly awesome ep for me. I am just. so. tired. of the tin ear on Show.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I think i'm going to go home and watch this ep again tonight. i spent most of last night with my heart in my throat. they are really breaking Dean(and in the process me).

I do think we've finally found something Misha doesn't do well. fight scenes. his hits looked so wimpy! i'm surprised ita hasn't been in here complaining about his technique.
