I wonder, if Cas were in a female vessel, if the fic would include lines like "even if it made him sound girly". When there's snippets of him and Cassie, it's just love. When it's him and Cas, he's girly and having chick flick moments. Of course, if Cas were a woman, I wonder if there would be fic at all -- although there's still the allure of an alien creature.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
OMG, Gabriel is not blond either.
Nope, completely brown. Blond Gabriel is an abomination, people!
I can't even read fic now. I feel like I need to go ... radio silence or something, until tomorrow. I'm watching the last four eps tomorrow (a bonus of being home sick?) and then biting my nails till 9 p.m.
I'm watching the last four eps tomorrow (a bonus of being home sick?)
But are you really sick, or was this a cough planned illness for viewing purposes?
Oh no, I hadn't thought of that. If I don't watch tomorrow night, I can't read this thread all weekend.
Assbutt!
Oh no, I'm sick as a dog. (I ... wish I knew where that saying came from, come to think of it.) Horrible bronchitis.
But I work at home, so it would've been the plan anyway. Now I just don't have to feel guilty about being in bed with the Winchesters all day.
Heh.
I wonder if a lot of people have the brightness on their TVs set too high.
I think my favorite show opener was the second ep of season 2 with The Chamber Brothers "Time Has Come Today". Not a season premiere song, not AC/DC, but a thing of beauty.
Do Sam and Dean use each other's names disproportionately much for a piece of fiction?
I can't work out if it's because I'm paying too much attention, but it doesn't seem possible you could go a couple episodes of this and not know the leads' names, whereas I can often do that with many other shows. Sam, Sam, Sammy, Dean, Dean, Dean.
In everyday life, most people (especially in a two-way-only conversation) will only use the other person's name for emphasis, at least in my experience.
So, yes, they do.
Target is using "For Those About to Rock" in an ad right now. I keep expecting to look up and see chrome and freckles and a dimple and a gigantor.
