Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Still can't do. I understand the appeal, pretty clearly, especially AU, but I just think of puppeteered characters of real people dancing through the pages. I've had it done to me, and 1/3 of my brain is going "No! Just not me! You should have taken my name and left the rest."

But I totally get the appeal. They're pretty boys, and they do pretty things together, and then they run out of pretty, they import some in, and keep prettying,

The one with Vamp!you and Spike was written by you though?

Which is precisely why I wrote that series. Me through my hoops. I'm 100% okay with that, though I do wonder about the quality of the OC that results. I couldn't even let go of me for a gift exchange. I respect what Deb is doing with Domitra, and I'm flattered, but it's also WEIRD.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Still can't do.

It's still a miniscule part of my reading. In my Delicious account I have 252 SPN stories tagged so far (I'm so behind!) and 2 J2 stories. I find I'm really particular about which ones I enjoy - they're the AU's that focus just on the guys, mostly. I don't care for the stories about the real JA and JP because they feel intrusive and I feel vicariously slimy, and I don't like the stories where the writer tries to cram in every actor who has ever been on the CW as well as JDM, the wives, and sometimes Kripke and the other staff members of Show. Mostly what it amounts to are stories that are about characters who have nothing to actually do with JA and JP or SPN, so they might as well be original fiction.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

SPN's the only place I've ever read RPF, and even then it's pretty rare. Eliza Jane's "Fandom is SRS BZNZ" was too irresistible. [link]

Jensen and Misha harass one another through LJ accounts. It ends in porn, of course. Actually, it kind of middles in porn. Anyway, fun, and as much a commentary on fandom as on the actors.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got all excited over a Gunslinger/Dark Tower inspired fic, except that was bs. And then all the plot gets put on hold for curtain fic and the joys of not realizing you're dating, and the writing is quite bad, not including the shift-F7 problem (I'm not sure what they're trying to get across half the time), and not including the old-fashioned parlance.

But the biggest horror was that Jess was made to rate the same as Dean's car. Okay okay, the impala is the most important object in the universe, but but but --they made Jess a horse! And then killed her! And then replaced her with a horsie named Gabriel!

IDEFK.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm not ready for RPF but I'm afraid this sentence ends in yet.

She understood now why Deanolo was so in love with [Cas]; even in his gored state

Oh COME ON!

What does that even mean?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Cas had the flesh on his back flogged off, the skin on his chest carved off (including the flesh being carved to the bone), and whatever remaining skin on his back carved off, not to mention spurting veins in his ankles after having been hung upside down. And Ellen's musings are "damn, nice bod, no wonder Dean's tapping that."
