I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got all excited over a Gunslinger/Dark Tower inspired fic, except that was bs. And then all the plot gets put on hold for curtain fic and the joys of not realizing you're dating, and the writing is quite bad, not including the shift-F7 problem (I'm not sure what they're trying to get across half the time), and not including the old-fashioned parlance.

But the biggest horror was that Jess was made to rate the same as Dean's car. Okay okay, the impala is the most important object in the universe, but but but --they made Jess a horse! And then killed her! And then replaced her with a horsie named Gabriel!

IDEFK.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm not ready for RPF but I'm afraid this sentence ends in yet.

She understood now why Deanolo was so in love with [Cas]; even in his gored state

Oh COME ON!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What does that even mean?

Cas had the flesh on his back flogged off, the skin on his chest carved off (including the flesh being carved to the bone), and whatever remaining skin on his back carved off, not to mention spurting veins in his ankles after having been hung upside down. And Ellen's musings are "damn, nice bod, no wonder Dean's tapping that."

I really need to be fed good fic, cuz right now I'm standing in front of the open fridge and munching on everything that doesn't need to be cooked and still feeling ravenous.

Good god, Julie. I wish I had anything new for you.

I just finished Blind Spot. I tried to save it for ER visits, but had to finish it up since I was home early and am typing with paw. I liked it. Heavy reading, but nice whump balance. And nice Dean and nice Sam.

trying to make yourself feel better comparitively?

I stumped my dentist today with my migraine (flared up a week ago, and the elevator ride to the Top of the Rock didn't help) and teeth pain. Teeth cleaning with teeth pain is wicked. My plan is to drink it away and read fic. I've got the first part down. I wish the gen spn journal tagged better.

"Count Bodies Like Sheep..." just came up on the playlist. Is it wrong that I find that song comforting?

And nice Dean and nice Sam.

I liked how the story started pulling Sam to the forefront and then it became just as much his story as it was Dean's, if not moreso, and how it ended sorta hopeful with it's unfinishedness.

New Rule: Vonnegut is no longer allowed to be mentioned in fic. Give Dean something else to read, please.

I also really liked the friction between them. It was full of love and not a little dysfunction.
