Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ha, Matt!

I *adore* architwhatsis. I just wish he had a username I could spell. I disagree with some of the stuff he says (bah, heteronormative! bah, gay crisis Dean (sometimes yes, but I don't need it)!), but I love the way he says it, and I'd probably read his version of the phone book, because it would have interesting power plays between each digit.

Catching up on my DCBB reading. Janie_tangerine is so cute. I like her romantic ideals. She comes close to over-schmoops, but she's always palatable to me. And ESL to boot. Faraway, So Close, a Wings of Desire AU.

Finished Crossing The Sea. Man, talk about awesome!Sam. And lots of brotherly love. Plus sexy sexing.

In general, and not directly related to either of those fics, if Castiel showed up to Dean at the end of S5 and said "Dean, I'm in love with you and I'm going to become mortal out of love of you, okay?" I'd like to think he'd have a shitfit and disappear or guilt himself into a really uncomfortable place.

It's really going to take some work to get him to the place where I think he's going to accept that sort of sacrifice, and some romantics jump there way too soon. I'm perfectly happy with him having to be effectively tricked into it, and if we make it out of the fic without him saying he loves Castiel, I can still see a happy ending.

I can still see him wanting forever, before he makes that particular leap of personal growth.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Faraway was sweet. It could have ended so badly, but was definitely a happy-place fic.

Really like Crossing the Sea.

There was a fic awhile back where it comes out that Cas loves Dean, and Dean asks point blank that if they consumate, would Cas Fall. Cas says yes. Dean denies himself and says not interested. Totally hurty and wonderful. Wish I could remember the fic. Must be haruslex.

Dean not believing he's worth sacrifice? Wherever would we get that idea of his character? And, even moreso, come to like it?

I . . . honestly don't know what to do with that.

::licks Dean::

We All Fall Down (Ashes Ashes) was pretty melancholy sweet. Just the sort of non D/C DCBB story I like to see.

Coming Back To You was nothing special. Woobie Cas. Same with In the Night Light (We Still Shine Bright).

Still have to read Momentum.

And thus ends the mini bang. Decent proportion of fics I liked, and some really excellent art.

"I'm not quitting you"

This line was in a fic.

I laughed. I wasn't supposed to.

There's also a fic out there about Dean getting chubby. For serious.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

  • A* fic? There's a whole comm, more than one. And there's been several kerfuffles about "jubjub", or chubby!Dean. Separate ones for RPF and chubby!Jensen. Also, "Dean can't read," which grew out of a bunch of fics written about Dean being dyslexic.

Oh god, this is a thing?!!

And, I don't mean that he happens to be chubby in it. I mean, the plot was about how he gained weight, his boyfriend makes him go to the doctor, and in the end they decide to just buy him bigger clothes. That's the plot.

Yeah, it's a thing. Including urging him to eat so he'll get fatter. I don't understand how some people's minds work, man.

Speaking of things, "I've got you, let go" is that common? Do people actually go around giving each other permission to have orgasms like that? I mean, it's not even dirty talk.

I buy it Dean to Castiel first time, sometimes. But because he's an inhuman virgin. The rest of the times, hello? Do other fandoms do this? Does life do this?
