Because books.

I just opened the medical kink one, thanks to you evil pushers lovely people.

I may be overtired or just distracted, but I didn't quite get Venn Diagram. It's an interesting idea, and bittersweet and terribly sad, but I don't understand how we get from Cas saying his memories were wiped, twice, to Dean being the one with amnesia. A little help?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I'm perusing the tags at deancastiel and choked I was laughing so hard. So, yeah, there's a genre tag for "turducken".

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the first one was the best in the TS verse, because there was actually a story there

It was a pretty decent Cas, but still, the story was all about how cool Dean was for his side of the relationship.

Amy, both things happened. Castiel had the advantage in that he could reconstruct what he lost (by reading the books, etc), but Dean was so broken that he could never get his back. Cas said so twice, because he was keeping have Dean have the same day each time. Because he's a nice guy like that.

Julie, did you read the turducken stories?

Amy - Aug 19, 2010 5:04:34 pm PDT #12907 of 30002
Because books.

Oh! I get it now. I didn't get the book clue.

God, it really was sad. ::sniffle::

Is there a pie tag? I mean, if there's one for turducken. Come on, people.

Juliebird - Aug 19, 2010 5:09:37 pm PDT #12908 of 30002
I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Turducken ended up not being cracky at all. Just some random tag thrown onto a Secret Angel Exchange. So disappointing.

There is, however, a pie sharing genre tag: [link]

But, why oh why, is there no tag for like "action" or "violence" or "whump"? Because the H/C tags are mostly schmoop and spend too much time on the C without giving H it's due consideration.

Because books.

Young John Winchester is on uStream right now, and he's got a REALLY close-cropped buzz cut.

There's also a fic that is slashing Sam with a man purse. the murse loves Sam, apparently.

That fic totally scarred me. Yet, I read all the way through.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Just...poor poor Sam.

Something I'd like to remind writers of:

  • The Winchesters were not familiar with demons pre-series. We get to see them wrangle with exorcisms and the idea of possession.
  • If memory serves, John doesn't find out the YED is a D until pretty late
  • They didn't tangle with any vampires pre-series.
  • Dean has been to New Orleans (I actually sent an author a PM about this--her whole fic was based on the post-finale premise that Dean went there for the first time and I felt bad)
  • They didn't use salt rounds until the Stanford years

It's all there in season 1, seriously. I can't believe your betas don't catch this.

(The fic I'm reading right now has too much pre-series demon activity, plus salt rounds while Dean is 13)
