Because books.

I literally *just* opened it. But I already saw insouciant ! Heh.

I don't think I read Venn Diagram. I take it I shouldn't?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Venn Diagram is sad. Poor Dean. Julie definitely shouldn't read it, but you're probably okay.

::narrows eyes::

Are you saying I have a hard heart?

Don't answer that.

I'm liking this high school AU! I love the way she's using one-time characters to fill in for teachers, etc.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lots of angst? I could click that...

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My mind, it is blown over the highschool AU.

Cas was incredible, I've never seen and never would have imagined taking End!Cas and putting his personality into a non-End!Verse story. Absolutely brilliant.

And oh, the nuanced subtext laced throughout, and the slowly unfolding history. And hot without having to go all the way, and it felt right that it didn't within the framework of the story.

I didn't mind that Dean didn't stay on the football team, because that came out of his own reasons, not because of any cliched "got found out for liking guys and shunned", just like how Cas got a black eye because he was the aggressor, not because of the cliche that homophobes picked on him. How fucking refreshing.

I'm just a fragile flower, Amy.

The DCBB about Dean becoming an angel was dumb and tedious and I began skimming about two paragraphs in.

I liked the one with the cat Whiskers. Not lots. But I liked it. Another one that felt rushed (I think the author even admits to this).

I know you're willing to go where the pain is, woman. Don't deny it.

My mind, it is blown over the highschool AU.

I knew you'd be all over it, Julie. It's totally now on my list of favourite AUs to rec (I'm still compiling it. It requires rereads).

I'm just agog over the Cas. It's some of the best AU Cas I've ever read, and definitely the best high school Cas. Just great.

It's a very particular thing that I kinda always want Dean to stay on the team and come out, because I like the bird-flipping effect. But what happened was perfectly in character, so I have no real beef about it. Just a personal preference.

definitely the best high school Cas

I'm only a page in, but I love the attitude. Very End!verse-influenced.

I HATE DEAN AS AN ANGEL. God, people. Disappoint me right off the bat.

I liked the one with the cat Whiskers. Not lots. But I liked it.

I liked the chemistry a fair amount with that. A nice level of dysfunction, if memory serves. And independent Cas.

Mankind was not my cup of tea. It's f***ed up take on the final episodes after Point of No Return actually starring Cas. But a fucked-up Cas. And it ends abruptly. And is a bit disjointed.
