Because books.

I just turned on That 70s Show and saw Jim Beaver in a bit part. Hi, Jim!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We're watching S1 Dexter on Instant Watch, and Mark Pellegrino is Darla/Leyla's ex-husband.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People! Read the story. Cas is grumpy, badassed and Endverse influenced in AU. It's really cool.

Because books.

The high school one? I just opened it! Sheesh, woman.

I nag because I care. I didn't realise at the time it was scaramouche (damn! work has blocked delicious, so I can't even look at the list of my bookmarked fics any more--curses) who wrote it. I know I have liked other stuff by her. I just can't tell you ... wait, she's the horrible woman who wrote Venn Diagram (D/C, angst). Then again, she wrote Dean Doesn't Listen To Eurhythmics (D/C, first time, cute).)

I literally *just* opened it. But I already saw insouciant ! Heh.

I don't think I read Venn Diagram. I take it I shouldn't?

Venn Diagram is sad. Poor Dean. Julie definitely shouldn't read it, but you're probably okay.

::narrows eyes::

Are you saying I have a hard heart?

Don't answer that.

I'm liking this high school AU! I love the way she's using one-time characters to fill in for teachers, etc.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Lots of angst? I could click that...

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My mind, it is blown over the highschool AU.

Cas was incredible, I've never seen and never would have imagined taking End!Cas and putting his personality into a non-End!Verse story. Absolutely brilliant.

And oh, the nuanced subtext laced throughout, and the slowly unfolding history. And hot without having to go all the way, and it felt right that it didn't within the framework of the story.

I didn't mind that Dean didn't stay on the football team, because that came out of his own reasons, not because of any cliched "got found out for liking guys and shunned", just like how Cas got a black eye because he was the aggressor, not because of the cliche that homophobes picked on him. How fucking refreshing.
