I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I found a couple new hands picks of Jared (the last two) and his fingers look particularly good there.

My mother is a total bitch about tall men. She often says if she had to do it again, she'd have married taller and richer. And don't even get her started on women under her height (5'8 1/2) dating men over 6'. A waste of precious natural resources, in her book.

My poor father is 5'9. We're all pretty much the same height.

I think my sister has once been with a guy under 6'. I totally don't know how she manages that.

Because books.

Mmmm.

I'm almost 5'4" barefoot if I stand up straight, so it's not really a problem to find men taller than I am. And S. is 6', which I love. But even taller is ... even better somehow.

Not that I'm supposed to be looking, of course.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Overly-tall men cause neck pains. I've dated 6'6" and slept with 6'4" or thereabouts, and found even 6'1" a little tall for my liking.

5'10" was good. 5'8" is slightly short on a man, but just a hair over perfect on a woman, where 5'6" appears to be my ideal.

My height for all of the above varied from 5'1" (ages 16-20) and 5'2 3/4 (20 until now).

I am waiting patiently for the guy tall enough to hurt my neck. I've crushed quietly on and hung out with as tall as 6'8, and it was nothing but fun.

Sleeping with 6'6 worked out just fine.

Because books.

An adorable couple in high school were a girl maybe 5'1" and a guy at least 6'4" or more. I did used to look at them and wonder how they ever had sex with him on top.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Between JP's height and his hands -- which aren't even the nicest man's hands I've ever seen!, but are just so HUGE -- I melt right into a puddle of goo.

There was footage of JP with Mrs. JP at SDCC, and, well. He pets her. Like, palms her head. It's actually kind of scary.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

When I asked her why she liked Dean better, she had to whisper it in my ear, giggling: "Because he's *cute,* Mommy."

You can tell I've spent too much time on FB, when I looked for the LIKE button.

And then Sam sashays into the picture and he's not just tall but huge and all the shallow comes slamming back. Good god, man. There's something about 6'4 and up that keeps turning my head.

This. I don't mean to be sizist. I've dated 5'6" to 6'5". The upper range continues to float my boat though. I'm convinced because at 5'8", I was one of the tallest in my class until at least Jr. High. It felt good not to be the taller one finally, and evidently that has stayed with me.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

JP at least looks proportional. Too many tall guys, even athletic ones, have that overly wide shoulders/overly thin hips thing that I don't like going on. ("Swimmer's build" is not a plus to me; if you're over 6' "linebacker's build" works much better IMHO.)

Short men tend to strike me as hotter, on average.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The tall guy who set things off for me was a skinny geek for most of our acquaintance, and he looked decent. Then he started cycling avidly, and hummina. But still not linebacker proprtions, though not wide shoulders.

Johann, from krav, is about 6'4, and is textbook "Oh, now that's pleasant!" for me at that height, although he does bulk up to bigger sometimes.

JP's definitely an outlier for how weak that big makes me.
