A sad sort of cracky fic would be Castiel deciding to stay on earth with Dean and replace Sam. And Dean would come back to the motel room to find him in a hoodie trying to figure out the Internet. Or cleaning the guns all wrong. And gnawing his way through salad shakers.
But then! Sam would reappear and all would be well, and Castiel would realize he's better as Castiel, and Dean would realize he needs Castiel to be his boyfriend.

No! I can't deal with countdowns where n>1 month.
And, unfortunately, I saw set pics of a random stunt from *some* future episode, and now I can't wait for that specifically. Except I don't know which ep it is. And? Honestly? I'm only psyched because it was pics of the boys. Nothing especially especial was happening in them. It was just a lot of pretty and them goofing off camera (and JP looking freaking HUGE).
I'm just realizing that the big bangs will be rolling out when the new season is in swing. I don't know if I can handle that.
When does the J2 SPN big bang end? Not that it's taking up much of my time. But the D/C one will be up to proper bang status in September, right?
I thought the D/C wasn't until October? Of course, I'm also confused that the rules say that the writers will be disqualified if they post outside the bigbang, and yet you've linked to several fics clearly marked as big bangs. And I don't think the mini-bangs are due quite yet, either.

The D/C big bang stories I've been linking to were submitted to J2 SPN. Apparently there was a fandom foofurrah about a pairing having its own big bang, but there is no reason that D/C isn't allowed in this main one--it just doesn't seem to be very popular (whether this is cause or effect of the D/C big bang is hard to tell).
Okay, that makes more sense. Although J2 just makes me think of horrific straight up Wincest or RPF.
The word "bang" is starting to lose all meaning.
The minis might be fun. I have no attention span for the long stuff right now.
