And I signed back up for Netflix and added DA to the top of my queue (James Cameron has powerful friends blocking me from my illicit behaviour.)
As a warning, it's really uneven throughout. The second season is 2/3s of the way to being a good show, and there's some seriously killer stuff there, and then there's... not so killer stuff.
But I love it, and I suffer FF.net for it, and write epic drawerfic that I text to Cass (I need to rewatch so I can start doing that again).
It's kind of the Route 666 of TV Shows.
Look at this vid for warmup. (Thanks, Perkins)
I keep that one on my iPod. Anyone have a link to Big City Life? (Another awesome DA vid.)
Thanks ita! That makes sense and now I'll know what people are talking about.
I confess I kind of adore Dark Angel, and can re-watch a fair amount of it, though there are episodes I'll never watch again. I recognize how flawed it is, but I love it anyway. Alec was the draw, Joshua was a favorite, but true confession, I liked Max too.
I loved Max with Alec. I loved their sibling fighting. Jensen made her better. I didn't dislike Logan, but S2 Logan was annoying, esp. toward the end. He felt shoe-horned into the show.
I want to read that fic, is it still a WIP?
You or Cass need to send me that stuff. I have a spoon.
Searching for Big City Life link.
Aside from Alec, Joshua was the only thing I really liked about DA. I LOVE Joshua.
I want to read that fic, is it still a WIP?
It's still WIP, but I think it's close to the end, and she's been posting weekly recently.
I don't likelike DA. But I love Alec. So it all works out.
It's Lithy's. There doesn't seem to be a streaming version up.
I don't likelike DA.
See I recognize all the ways in which it shouldn't be likable, and yet, I always seem to enjoy it when I watch. I'm willing to acknowledge there may be very shallow reasons for that.
Aw, I knew Bev would come through with a link to Lithy.
(I need to rewatch so I can start doing that again).
You really do. I hear several texts in a row and smile. Because FIC!
Oh, DA. You sucked in a lot of ways but I love you so much...
