Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Probably a good 16 hands. He just looks shorter 'cause he's usually around his Clydesdale of a brother.

18 hands. With Sam about 19.

I'm 15.3 hands.

Note: I'm measuring to top of head. Which is not how you measure a horse.

But I still feel at a loss for regular recurrings. It leaves Bobby verboten for discussion, and that feels like a big hole for the show thread.

Why would discussing Bobby be verboten? We know we exists, so we can speculate. I mean, sure, we can't say, "Woo! Bobby will be back!" as a regular recurring or something, but we can skate around it by just... talking non-specific, unspoiled speculation about what they could do with Bobby, if they should choose to bring Bobby back again.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why would discussing Bobby be verboten?

Discussing Bobby with assurance is verboten. And a number of us know whether or not he'll be back, so us discussing his presence or lack thereof is disingenuous, and if I were trying to be unspoiled on that point, I'd be pissed at anything that wasn't heavily iffed.

Since I'm not going to be able to if hard enough to satisfy my putative self, I'm just not talking about his presence or absence instead.

However, I think whether Bobby is recurring S6 is different from saying "new character Suzy is in the cast next year" or "Lisa has signed on recurring next year" or "Jesse is back next year." I just don't know how to frame it in bright line sort of a manner.

Because books.

Hands measures to the horse's back, right? Where you'd put the saddle, in other words? Or thereabouts?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My Little Pony fic

I think I actually saw a description for this somewhere.

Oh, I'm sure it's out there. I mean, I've seen Misha as a unicorn fic, so MLP seems relatively reasonable.

Someone wrote a Wincest big bang where the boys turn into Care Bears. Rule 34 surely applies.

Top of shoulders/base of neck. To the withers.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

wrt spoilers.

What ita said makes sense to me. There's a difference between characters that one could reasonably assume will return (e.g. Bobby. Nothing's kept him away so far. Assuming that they go back to hunting, Bobby's presence is a good bet), and those that that in itself would be surprising (Say...Jo would be in that category), and, to blur matters further, we could debate which category Castiel would go in, depending on the degree of emphasis you want to put on meta issues (fan service, for example).

I'm okay with the CW website stuff to be posted in whitefont, as someone who doesn't watch it. However, discussion in blackfont would keep me out of the thread.

Rule 34?

My other crack fic idea this morning was based on Inception -- they need to plant an idea in Dean's head, and Sam decides it would be funny to base the dream on Rocky Horror.

I need more to do.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

On the other hand, as someone completely unspoiled I can speculate on Bobby. Do we know for sure the lien on his soul is gone? Cause if the lien is still there, solving that little problem would make an awesome subplot. Also in general I think Supernatural does better when something a lot smaller than the fate of the world is at stake. One of shows strengths is that it makes us care about the characters enough that their being in jeopardy is enough to hold our interest.
