Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I loved Rose. Also Martha. I haven't seen any episodes with Ace, though. Need to fix that. Looks like there are some DVDs from that period of Whodom on Netflix.

I share a mind with Sumi in regards to Rose. I loved her with 9, but much preferred Martha and Donna with 10.

ETA: Doctor Who is totally a show that rewards you for being fickle in your character love.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, laughed like a loon. (Fear) The Reaper, the first SPN/Psych crossover I've actually liked, with bonus outsider POV.

She also did a good big bang fic this year. My favourite so far.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I think Misha is attractive but I still don’t ship Castiel with anyone; yet I managed to fall across this story completely by accident: Closer to Heaven and Closer to You. I didn’t realize when I started reading it that it was a Sam/Castiel fic (yes, I was particularly obtuse today)… it’s a slow build, that comes from Sam’s study of Cas’ absorption with Dean and Sam’s gratitude for Cas’ ability to make Dean laugh again. It slowly morphs from an interest in Cas for Dean’s sake to an interest in Cas for Cas’ sake. But Dean is not sidelined – he’s always, always present in the story and in Sam’s thoughts. And there are touching moments and really funny spots (Sam hooking Cas on chocolate! teaching Cas to play I Spy, except angel-vision is so much more acute than ours) and I don’t think I’ve ever read anything by this writer before, but I’m going to search out her other stories now.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Sam’s gratitude for Cas’ ability to make Dean laugh again.

I haven't read it but that sentence is so very much Sam. Oh Sam.

I don't know why the thought of that makes me so sad. Let me give it a click and see what she can do.

Okay, it creeped me out, because I could still feel the Dean/Cas. It's possible those goggles aren't coming off without some really powerful writing.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I had started reading a multi-part fic the other day and the computer went and did an automatic update/reboot on me and I lost it and can't find it in my history (I've been opening so many tabs as I find interesting links to read for later, it's byzantine, and I'm actually not certain how many days the tab was open on the fic before I actually began reading it).

It's apocafic, and Sam, Dean, and Cas are defending survivors outside a leveled city and the only survivor is a little girl that they take with them. I didn't get very far to get a feel if it was any good, but I'm curious to see where they go with all of it. Any ideas, anyone?

Is it this big bang fic? Ehab and I were discussing it upthread.

My sister and I have been exchanging fandom artifacts, and I sent her the architeuthis Except Thou Bless Me story to see how it worked with someone who knew nothing of canon. She was really impressed.

::smacks forehead::

That would be it!

I've been waiting for architeuthis to update his Song of Songs series. Nansense put out two more posts, but it's a WIP, so I'm waiting to see how they turn out, but I like them so far, even though her opening notes of "seeing how all of us Dean/Cas shippers were pissed off at how obviously OOC they were in Swan Song" ticks me off.
