Hmm. I suppose I can vote now. Still not sure...
S5, R2, B1:
- Team Free Will: Wahh. I really like the other quote.
- I just didn't want to let you down: I liked the other one too!
- The 1967 Chevrolet Impala: Okay, this one I'm not conflicted about. Yellow crayon.
- The voice says I'm almost out of minutes: Castiel and the funny has to win at least once, right? Damn, I'm conflicted again.
S5, R2, B2:
- I found a liquor store: I don't think Sam did actually choose family per se. It was a clumsy speech. I vote with PMM.
- The last person who looked at me like that...: Rrowr.
- Hey assbutt!: Ahh, it's going to lose anyway.
- We're the ones you should be afraid of: They're a team here, solid and deadly. I love this quote beyond reason. So hot.
I skipped ahead to vote because I won't be near a computer again until tomorrow.
S5, R2, B1
- I'm not going to leave you.
S5, R2, 2
- we're the ones you should be afraid of.
ita is evil. How could you make me choose on some of these? I'll be over in the corner crying. Somehow I think it's going to get worse.
Season 5, Round 2, Bracket #1/2:
- Castiel's voicemail: You have reached the voice mail of [Castiel: I don’t understand. Why do you want me to say my name?]
- SAM: I saw your eyes. You were totally rockin' the "yes" back there. So, what changed your mind?
DEAN: Honestly? The damnedest thing. I mean, the world's ending. The walls are coming down on us, and I look over to you and all I can think about is, "this stupid son of a bitch brought me here." I just didn't want to let you down.
- Chuck: Three days later another car rolled off that same line. No one gave two craps about her, but they should’ve. Because this 1967 Chevrolet Impala would turn out to be the most important car... no, the most important object in pretty much the whole universe.
- Dean: Sammy? Sammy? It's okay, I'm here. I'm not going to leave you.
Season 5, Round 2, Bracket #2/2:
- Castiel: I found a liquor store.
Sam: And?
Castiel: And I drank it!
- Dean: No, I am not a fan. Okay? Not fans! In fact, I think that the Dean and Sam story sucks! It is not fun, it’s not entertaining, it’s a river of crap that would send most people howling to the nuthouse! So you listen to me. Their pain is not for your amusement! I mean, you think they enjoy being treated like circus freaks?
Demian: I'm not sure you get what the story's about.
Dean: That so?
Demian: In real life, he sells stereo equipment. I fix copiers. Our lives suck. But Sam and Dean. To wake up every morning and save the world. To have a brother who would die for you. Well, who wouldn't want that?
- Ellen: I said go. And Dean? Kick it in the ass. Don't miss.
- Dean: Then I ain't going to let him die alone.
Come on, people:
Dean: All those angels, all those demons, all those sons of bitches, they just don't get it, do they Sammy?
Sam: No they don't, Dean.
Dean: You see, Brady, we're the ones you should be afraid of.
BAMFs, yo.
Also! Liquor store!
Campaigning at the polls! Campaigning at the polls!
Or something. Hmph.
I drank it. (You know, it's a theological hate point for me that assumes tribulations are "tests". I abhor and despise the trials of Job, and *if* this was a "test"? Then screw the universe. And pass the damn bottle. I mean, what or who is the test *for*? Do they get gold stars for passing? Apparently not. Why exactly would anyone want to "pass" any of thse tests? Unless, you know, they remain Galadriel and pass into the west. Allowed to die in peace? That's the result of test-passing? PFEH.)
Bev, this is a recurring trouble area for me as well. When I was young and lost someone close to me, another person said they were mad at God for taking them. This was a complete perspective shift for me because, as I told them, I had known the loved one died, so I was hoping God took them. (Again, I was very young)
Another moment is the "if nothing we do matters, then the only thing that matters is what we do" from Angel. My latest moment to spur that thought/fear/suspicion was during an episode of House. I don't remember the quote but House was saying he needed to not believe in God. He couldn't stand it if he thought this was all a test.
I'm kind of glad SPN is leaving the theological exploration behind. What we got was perfect and painful and fit what was happening. But it was enough. I don't want any more.
