Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So I'm guessing just about everyone knows the rumour that JA is directing episode 4, then, huh?

Misha is brilliant at tweeting, it's true. Still what I consider a gold standard. And he manages to talk so little about the show too.

I find I don't want to know much about the actors, and not too much about the show. Jim Beaver is a bit spoilery for me. The Leverage cast is pretty on the nose when it comes to show stuff.

Castiel's lines are highly dependent on Misha's delivery

I just watched his CSI: NY episode, and he's so un-Castiel that my ears didn't tell my eyes to look up when he came onscreen. Bless him and his sexy angel self.

Because books.

Jim also engages with fans a little more than I think is probably smart, but hey, it's his Twitter. He also gets a little rambly for me some days.

He has always been that way but with a smaller audience. It's how his book was born. I think I'm scared about his level of engagement only because of the crazy out there.

One day he may run butt up against it and the backlash could be ugly. Then again he may already have. He seems pretty level headed.

I'm very excited for JA's directorial debut. I hope they give him a decently written script.

I must now go find Misha's CSI:NY ep.

His late wife having been Quark's Mom, I suspect he's run up against the Trek crowd and has years of experience navigating the crazy.

The Twitter persona he's created is fantastic.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

His late wife having been Quark's Mom, I suspect he's run up against the Trek crowd and has years of experience navigating the crazy.

This.

JA's eyes always look greenish to me, and JP's sometimes look brown. I'm not an expert on these vagaries, but by that alone I would label Dean green-eyed and Sam hazel.

My son's eyes are on the green/blue/grey scale of the hazel catch all, never brown. When we were getting his learner's permit at the DMV, I put grey for eye color, which they clearly were at the time. The DMV guy scratched it out and informed me there was only brown, blue, or hazel. So my son's DL says eye: hazel. If you are going to be that non descript why not say, "eye: two"?

I suspect Jensen is also in the blue green scale*, while Jared leans toward the brown/green. It's all the same to the DMV.

: * There was a picture I saw that made me do an internet look up because Jensen's eyes looked brown. I had never seen that before and it freaked me out. I probably couldn't find the pic again.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Hazel is bizarre. My eye tend to the green/gold (hah, maybe that explains my A's obsession), but CJ's eyes change constantly. Blue, grey, green, brown...I feel like a bad mother when someone asks me what color eyes he has and I can't answer. I've never considered blue/grey to be part of the hazel spectrum.

All that being said - I'm on the same bench with y'all who are confused by the blond. Yes, I can see dark blond, but that isn't how I often see Jensen referenced. Usually it is just blond, which in my mind is much lighter than his usual color.

Yeah, I just think calling him "the blond" conjures up a picture not seen since the 4 year old Dean. I know, it's hard to find the nouns. Call him "the bow-legged one" and get on with it.

Because books.

Jensen's eyes have always seemed green to me, in that the base is solidly green, even if there are a few gold or brown flecks.

Jared's are that swirly sort of hazel, where depending on the light they're brown, green, gold, etc. Much more changeable than Jensen's eyes.

Not that, uh, I've thought about it much.

And while I know Jensen's hair is dark blonde(ish), it seems like you have to get up really close to see a *strand* to see it. From a distance and on film it reads brown to me.

You know he was once a lot blonder, though, because his beard comes in reddish.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I think some of the confusion comes from the mental picture of Jensen. He has been around so long and he was much blonder when he was younger. I considered him blond on Days but it was dark blond. Now his hair is much darker and if he were to just now appear on the scene I suspect people would call it brown. Even the show goes for brownish in younger versions of Dean. But it is hard to discard the mental image of the blond kid (or at least blond highlights).

Beard red definitely. Still don't see the blond, not even dark blond. I think maybe this comes down to personal definitions of blond. It's like the "is it blueish-green or greenish-blue?" debates I've had with friends. Teal is a very subjective color. Apparently so is blond and hazel.

ETA: I first saw Jensen as Alec. Alec was also a brunette.
