Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

Fergawdsakes, fire alarm. In the rain.

A lot of people have bad hair and a hate on for the construction now.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Great post, Allyson.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I need to shower and get dressed and get to the office to grade papers. I don't feel like getting off the couch. The couch is comfortable. And grading papers is boring.

Phil Plait's blog, that's one I read fairly regularly. That's Cool!

Trudy, if you need a standard, you might look up to see what Medicare reimburses for the procedure. Aside from that, I don't think there are any pricing standards.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Wonderful article (accessorized with an adorable astronaut)! My mother is a departmental secretary (for Microbiology and Immunology) - three cheers for support staff who love science.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Thanks, Flea!

Having someone mention Phil Plait on b.org is one of those cool personal crossover events. Sort of like the Astronomy Cast podcast from DragonCon where they had on Phil Plait and the Science Advisor from BSG.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My office is creepily quiet today. There are four of us at the end of the hall, and then no one else! In my department, we have four people out of town and two vacant positions. Next down the hall is someone on vacation, and one who I thought would be here, since she's the CEO and is supposed to be running an all-staff meeting in fifteen minutes. I think there are a couple of other people down the other hall, but still.
