I seriously doubt there were more Aidens born in 2008 than Michaels, you know?
Sure, but if you combine the Aidens with the Bradens and the Jadens and the Cadens....

I always look forward to SS's baby names list. I hope Olivia will drop in popularity because I went to school with six Lisas so I know how that feels.
There's a woman at the gym who spelled her daughter's name "Alyvia."
When I was in school it was all Amys, Susans, and Karens.
I'm a little dubious about "Jayden" being the second most popular boy's name, actually.
I'm curious - is 'Tomas' used as a baby name for English speakers at all?
amych, I can't get the video on my phone but there's a kid on Noggin in Australia who does Cooking with Luis--which we love. Good recipes for preschoolers.
Kathy/Cathy was a big name for those of us born in 1966. At every school I went to, there was always a batch of us in the same grade. In the same way, my sister's year (1964) was a big one for Christine/Kristine (she's Kristine).
I love the kid name in an xkcd comic... something something DROP TABLE STUDENTS;
Little Bobby Tables, we call him.
Cooking with Luis
I LOVE HIM!!!
When he makes the fruit kebabs and the big paw paw melon or whatever loses it's netting and he ye;;s, "THE PAW PAW IS NAKED!" cracks me up every. single. time.
our goal was never to give D a name that our special little snowflake would have all to himself
To be clear, we are not looking for a EWNEEK name, either. Just hoping to avoid several of them in a class, you know? It's really interesting how you think of a name, think it's pretty unusual, and then it places high on the list. I'm thinking of Avery (girl), which I used to really love and is now on the list. How does that happen exactly?
I love this one, where 2 kids cook recipes from the Alinea cookbook (to prove it's not beyond the skills of a home cook).
