Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for that link, Shari. It's kind of depressing, the business end of the whole thing.

Today is Leverage day! V. excited. John Rogers finally mentioned Mission Impossible in reference to the show, but not this ep. He cites Rockford Files as an influence, and I don't know that I get it. I even went back and watched another RF episode from Netflix.

I want to pick up a new laptop, but I'd rather try it out in the store first before buying it, and every time I see one I like, it sells out before I can get over there! I was in the mood to get it tonight, and even though it was listed as being in stock at the nearest store this afternoon, it's sold out now. People are definitely buying computers right now, regardless of the economy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have like a million shows taping tonight, I don't even know what. I think I'm taping Leverage at like 1am.

ION, I had an eventful last few minutes of my trip home: first, I almost got hit by a car. It didn'y touch me, but came damn close. I said JESUS CHRIST apparently pretty loud, because a guy crossing the street ahead of me took off his iPod and asked if I was OK. Which was nice. So that was kind of an adrenaline rush. Then, when I was opening my apartment door, my phone rang with an unfamilar Boston-area number, so I was afraid it was something about my grandmother, but no! It was a childhood friend, now in NYC, who wants to get together to catch up and talk career stuff. Good times!

Then I cooked up some potatoes, onions, and kielbasa, and now I'm trying to catch my breath.

The cops just knocked on my door because there was "an incident" on the corner by near my house. The took my name and number, even though I didn't hear or see anything, but he couldn't tell me what it was. Of course I was wearing a ripped shirt, no bra and flannel pajama bottoms.

This is the incident:

Our wings are not tired.

Eeep. That's awful, Sue.

x-post w/Bitches:

Anyone who's been looking to buy a Wii Fit, this might be a good time to do so. Game Stop is running a promotion aimed at women, with various Wii and DS games/activities and they're more liable to have Wii Fits in right now. Lewis said they received several today in shipment.

Just an FYI.

Yeah. There's been a mini drug war happening in Halifax, I don't know if this is related. One guy got shot in the parking lot of the children's hospital. I hope the kid is okay.

That said, I am standing far away from the pub boys at the bus stop in the morning if people are shooting at them.

Yikes, Sue! That's scary.

IcompletelyON, Archaeology Magazine's Top 10 Discoveries of 2007 and 2008.

In the 2007 list, check out the cuneiform tablet story--I missed it (or forgot about it) when it was first reported. They found a reference in a list of donations to a Babylonian temple to a eunuch who was mentioned in the Bible!

Yargh, Sue. Definitely stay safe.
