Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Meanwhile we just had a brief snowburst in DC. It's gone, but the wind advisory remains.

I was sent a link to this column. I think it was for the, really you want this guy to be a columnist for you?, factor.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, that's been making the feminist blogosphere rounds. It's pretty disgusting.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's pretty disgusting.

I couldn't bring myself to read the whole thing. Is he arguing from religious reasons? Or just wankerish ones?

These. Also, I suspect he has a really hard time getting laid on account of being an utter douchenozzle.

IIRC, the argument for the case did exactly revolve around how "public" the pavilion was. It was certainly not consecrated, at least.

Yeah, this is the best summary of the decision I've been able to find: [link]

The pavilion has enjoyed a special real property tax exemption provided by the state for properties open to the public as places of public accommodation. The association had certified that when the pavilion was not being used for its own religiously-based programs, it would be open to the public on "an equal basis," which explains the practice of not inquiring into the religious nature of wedding ceremonies held there. It is well established that religious ownership of a place of public accommodation does not exempt the place from the anti-discrimination law.

The "wife not wanting to have sex is the same as the husband not wanting to go to work" argument is making my head spin.

I just can't even... a wife not wanting to do housework or go to her own *!&*$* job is equivelent, oh except for the pay wrt to housework.
