The depressing thing about snow for me is the filthy snow after it has been plowed and refuses to melt and gathers in chunks of black-brown crusty lumps all over the place. It looks like all the sidewalks have a shiner. Gross. Ick. Hate.

We're getting some post-storm sunniness right now.

Unfortunately, it's 16F and windy, and I still have to dig my car out.
The temps dipped below freezing here in NC today. Sadly, my office turns the heat down over the weekend, so I'm sitting here wearing four layers while they try to up several thousand square feet of office space. Oh well. I'm only working two days this week, so I can suck it up for that long.

Oh Theo - that's going to be such a pain, you have my complete sympathy. Trying to remove the crap that's out there now is like chiseling stone.

My minion called to say she was running late, but this is ridiculous.
Not that there's any work going on here...
Eh, since I don't have anywhere to go much before Wednesday, I might as well take my time at it. Or I could unearth just enough of the windows to be driveable, get it out of the parking space, and drive to the mall with indoor parking and stay there long enough for it to melt a bit more. Kind of liking that idea, actually....

That sounds like a good plan.
Well, I lucked out - it's terribly cold out but not so very windy so I did not quite turn into a popsicle while waiting for the bus.
Also, I timed it right so I didn't have to wait for the bus for very long.
And it's a balmy -5 degrees. Sunny - yes. And cold. January weather in December.
But, we're supposed to get snow tonight so it's going to warm up to positive numbers.
Not warm today. not at all. Thankfully I am outside blessed little.
Last week mac started wanting to cross the street to school by himself, I stand on the far corner and watch him go in. I had no idea if it would last, but this morning I was told again, you stay here. He has now decided that even if we get there early enough for him to have to wait outside inline before they open the doors, I should not come across the street with him. This is a big big step, a good one.
