You do well to flee, townspeople! I will pillage your lands and dwellings! I will burn your crops and make merry sport with your more attractive daughters! Ha ha ha! Mark my words! Ooh! Ale! I smell delicious ale!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It's cold and drizzly in SF. And by cold I mean it's 46, and by drizzly I mean you would get moistened if you stepped outside.

Boo fucking hoo. Let me wipe away the tears with my shovel-blistered hand.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Indeed. It hasn't gotten above freezing here since the ice storm, so people are losing power due to wind knocking down icy branches.

Someday, I will learn not to have caffeine at late dinner, as it makes me unable to sleep. At least I don't have anywhere to be, apart from non-time-sensitive-errands.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Here it's 19° with 24 mph winds and a wind chill of 6°. In retrospect, staying in aside from lunch and doing nothing today was a wise decision.

Seattle's SNOWPOCALYPSE is so done with for me. It has been snowing for over 24 hours. On top of the snow we got on Thursday, which no one knew how to deal with and hadn't been plowed or salted. And it is supposed to be just warm enough (33 degrees) during the day tomorrow and Tuesday and freezing at night to make everything ICY ICY SLICK on all the hills. This is going to be FUN FUN FUN!! Oh, and even once the current snow stops, we might get MORE!

WTF?? I am so over this.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

For all you fellow ice and snow sufferers, if you don't have them already, I recommend YakTrax.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Seattle's SNOWPOCALYPSE is so done with for me.

The news here just referred to it as "a freakish Seattle blizzard."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Boo fucking hoo. Let me wipe away the tears with my shovel-blistered hand.

I find winter rain much more dreary than snow. It took quite an act of will to get out of the house today, which Emmett and I managed by going to the Metreon and playing arcade games.

He had high score for the day on Primeval Hunter which allows you to shoot lots of dinosaurs as they attack you.

We also tried out some Wave Motion game/ride, which was sort of a virtual reality roller coaster with the chair rocking and rolling and tipping and lurching while you go shooting through things like an abandoned mine. The fantasy course on that one was fun, since it shot you off the track into helicopter shots swooping over mountains and such.

Art Crawl!!!

I find daily subzero temperatures much more dreary than either rain OR snow.

(I just went over to weather.com for Monday's forecast. Sigh.)
