It's cold and drizzly in SF. And by cold I mean it's 46, and by drizzly I mean you would get moistened if you stepped outside.
Matilda (with very little marking for her face bonk yesterday) is off to church with JZ. Emmett's had pancakes and I'll be peeling him away from HIMYM to do the last vestige of homework so he can chill for the rest of his vacation.
I only need a few more xmas presents and some stocking stuffers. Now if we can just find a car.

No problem. Just remembered my doctor's appointment, but it's at nine, so it should be just fine.
I can't figure out when to call my father for his birthday. He's in a show that runs at 1 and 5:30. So I guess I'll try to catch him in between on his cell phone?

Cooking hivemind question: any recs out there for a good herb and spice-based cookbook? My sister has decided to thumb her nose at the cooking gods who blessed us with black thumbs and has been growing her own herbs and would like a good, basic cookbook.

I'm afraid the Herbfarm book may be a bit beyond her. She has NO patience at all when cooking and is liable to just skip steps if the recipes are too involved.
