Insane in the membrane. I went to bed when Christopher got home at 5:30 and ended up sleeping until 11:30. I should probably try to nap before the kids get up but I am wide awake.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That was late, indeed. I hope sleep found all who needed it.

It is still snowing in a desultory fashion here. I think we ended up with less than a foot, though, so it's not all that much of a Snowpocalypse. Of course, I haven't done anything so foolish at to try to shovel out my car.

It's 14F so more than cold enough to stay down for a while.

“Not dead yet!”

Not silver enough yet, but don't think I'm not waiting: [link]

Joins the bated breath crowd.

It would appear that Jasmine ate a sprinkler head. I was woken up at 3 in the morning by what sounded like a monsoon slamming against the back of the house. Except it was only the back of the house. I made Lewis get up and turn off the timer until we can get someone out here to look at the thing.

Labs is weird.

Labs are just chewy, Barb. Sorry about the sprinkler head, though.

DH quote of the day: (Upon reading that Al Franken may very well win the Senate seat in Minnesota) "Wow. When things start going your way, politically, they really go your way."

Well, I'm packed. I kinda just threw stuff in the suitcase. I've got about an hour to set things to "less of a disaster" in the house.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Waiting for the furniture delivery guys to show(the delivery window is 11-2). Otherwise, just hanging around.

Watching the showsnow out my window and contemplating a career as a wildlife removal technician, which appeals at the moment....

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

This is weird. For the second day in a row my kids have slept in to almost 8. If this keeps up until Thursday, I'll consider it a Christmas miracle.

I hope ita got to sleep finally, and Cash, but I suspect Cash just stayed awake. In which case I hope she gets in a nap today.

So today is now the HSM extravaganza. I've gone from vaguely dreading it to looking forward to it, or at least looking forward to watching the two girls dancing in the aisles.
