So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have to be here at the office at 8am tomorrow, because a tree guy is coming to take down the rogue palm tree from the front of the building. I actually volunteered for this, as I had some work to do anyway and this way it'll be done by lunch and I'll have the rest of the weekend free.

Going to the movies tomorrow night and maybe a bike ride with the DH on Sunday.

Always Anti-fascist!

wrod. Also, that she is gorgeous, for a Gov. Our Gov is much better looking in person, but not really a fox. Fine gov, though. Much as I like Obama, it will be sad if he takes her away, as the sec. of state is a scary, pursed-lipped, rightie. DO NOT WANT. So, even though the press tries to make it exciting that we have so many Women in Power, they are not all that great for women like Janet.

Scrappy, I'm sorry to hear that your palm tree has gone rogue. Palm Tree in 2012!

Weekend: homework. going to visit friends to play games and eat mac & cheese on Saturday night though.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have a charity auction on Sunday. I'll see Smonster and Amyth there, and it's a nice excuse to dress up. Otherwise I'll be trying to remember what I did before family health issues and politics ate my life.

I think I might read a book, uninterrupted, on Saturday. I have good, if distant, memories of that activity.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am also going to the shoe guy and the nail place. Stay tuned for other fascinating errands!

And I really need to do some work, given how badly I've fucked off this whole week. Next time, I'm going to need a week off for the election, apparently...

Current Gov, babe.

I've been out of the political junkie business for eight years. It was too painful. I'm still getting my sea legs back.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'll be trying to decide if I want to shop for snow boots for the kids in town or ordering from Lands End.

Then the usual--grocery shopping, laundry and naps.
