Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Saturday -- putting the finishing touches on my Secret Santa present and getting it shipped. It probably won't get there in time for Xmas, but close enough.

I'm not sure yet, but I just might be crazy/stupid enough to go on Sunday to American Girl Place for a present for my niece. I think if I get in and out early enough it should't be so too bad.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

FYI, any of you wanting American Girl stuff, their headquarters and main manufacturing/shipping plant (along with Mattel) is here in Madison. If there's ever anything you want me to look for, let me know. Newer stuff, I doubt I can save you much, but older stuff I'm willing to bet I can find at discount at their outlet.

“Not dead yet!”

  • Tonight: My darling sister has been visiting since Wednesday-- tonight is chili (currently going in the slow cooker with ground lamb, beef, beans and lots and lots of spices). Baking cute ready made cookies with the kids because they liked the swirly chips in them and watching the third Mummy movie.

  • Saturday: Errands with sister and shopping. Probably finishing the tree-- it's got lights and garland, so the ornaments need to go on.

  • Sunday: Making real cookies and maybe some writing will happen. Gift wrapping has to happen at some point or another. Trying to figure that one out.

And the kids are now officially OUT for vacation.

Oh Sail, I may totally hit you up on that at some point. Abby's got several dolls so we've put a moratorium on them, but accessories are always a win around here.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

No special plans for this weekend, which is just as well, since we've got Snowpocalypse Now and another scheduled for Sunday.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
