Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Why the hell are the Gothamist and the Post publishing the name and photo of a minor who may have been treated inappropriately by a police officer?

I'm so sorry for you and your loved ones, Juliana. It sounds like it was relatively peaceful, at least.

I don't know if anyone posted this amazing story here yet, but just in case: Holland Township man names son after Adolf Hitler.

It's worth reading the whole thing. Every single page has at least one fact or quote that boggles the mind.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Every single page has at least one fact or quote that boggles the mind.

It's true! I'd post quotes here, but I'd be posting big chunks of that article....

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I agree, but I can't resist posting this one, which seems to me the crux of the article:

The Campbells said they wanted their children to have unique names and didn't expect the names to cause problems. Despite the cake refusal, the Campbells said they don't expect the names to cause problems later, such as when the children start school.

Yyyyeah. "I am shocked, shocked I say, to find that that name bothers people!" I particularly like using "Aryan Nation" as a middle name. The heck? Repulsive connotations aside, that doesn't even make sense. That's not a thing, as they say.
