aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I don't know if anyone posted this amazing story here yet, but just in case: Holland Township man names son after Adolf Hitler.

It's worth reading the whole thing. Every single page has at least one fact or quote that boggles the mind.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Every single page has at least one fact or quote that boggles the mind.

It's true! I'd post quotes here, but I'd be posting big chunks of that article....

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I agree, but I can't resist posting this one, which seems to me the crux of the article:

The Campbells said they wanted their children to have unique names and didn't expect the names to cause problems. Despite the cake refusal, the Campbells said they don't expect the names to cause problems later, such as when the children start school.

Yyyyeah. "I am shocked, shocked I say, to find that that name bothers people!" I particularly like using "Aryan Nation" as a middle name. The heck? Repulsive connotations aside, that doesn't even make sense. That's not a thing, as they say.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

what do you want from Portos. Place an order with me and I'll get it to you. NOt this week, but on weekends it's no big deal.

It's more a general bemoaning. Certainly not worth the bother of driving it over here.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

It's nice to see you can get through the WTF stage, because I'm still deep into it.

Edit: the naming your kid Hitler article.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I don't know what is wrong with people.

I am angry because I have spent the morning learning exactly how screwed we are WRT my Thursday deadline AND eating candy, which means I am sugar-jittery. Also, have not slept enough the last couple of nights. ANGRY.

brillig

The area those baby name people are from is central Pennsylvania, a very rural area, and unfortunately rife with people who think Adolf Hitler is a perfectly lovely name, and Aryan Nation rolls of the tongue with euphonious artistry. They know exactly what they're doing.

My favorite part was where they reveal that the parents are on disability. 'Cause that's how the Master Race rolls: lamely.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What happened to the good old days, huh? When you didn't hem and haw about being a fascist?

I'm telling you, the extent of the Bush adminstration's degretation of American values has only begun to be seen.

One of our directors told me I should quit RM and become a caterer. I think it was a compliment.
