Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

Well, they are starting in Philly but picking up Biden in Wilmington!!!

I'm so psyched about it because my boyfriend is flying into philly on the 16th and i'm going up to meet him and bring him back and we can meet up with my family and greet the Obama/Bidens in my hometown!!!

Wait, what?? I need to greet, too! What's the scoop?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Pretty tree, sarameg! I like the little unicorn horn-like ornaments.

I've got to adjust the bow up top. And I have some neat lights I've never used that I should dig out and put up. [link]

I've never done a tree because it didn't seem worth the effort. The sentiment was always based on my family's tree. But from now on, I'll have this tree and think of them and so it'll go up every year, in all its white & sparkly.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Those are beautiful lights, sara!

Random person from high school who I friended on facebook against my better judgement (I don't really remember him, except he was a couple of years younger than me, played the trumpet behind me, and is now married a woman who was another one of my gay best friend's friends) has nw posted funny pictures which are offensive to me -- Barack Obama smoking with a caption about Newports which sounds racist, and a fat kid getting hit in the face with a basketball with the caption "no wonder you always get picked last, fatty") Grrrr!

Our wings are not tired.

Sophia, I've had the same thing happen.

I unfriend them immediately.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's like 15 degrees here. This is insane. How do people live like this?

I was halfway joking about hibernating, but it's looking better and better.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The woman who lives in one of the ground floor apartments came up to me while Dylan was playing with the mailboxes in the lobby today and informed me that if he cries too loud, he could have a stroke.

This woman HAS. NO. FILTER.

(Dylan was perfectly happy at the time she said this, btw. He does protest pretty loudly about getting into his stroller in the mornings, and I'm sorry it has to happen outside her door, but it's not like it's the middle of the night OR lasts longer than the 5 minutes it takes DH to get out the door.)

My temperature widget thinks it's 27 degrees here, but at least I can comfort myself with the idea that it's not SUPPOSED to be this cold here. It's RECORD BREAKING cold here (it was 19 degrees this morning. That was record breaking!)

My temperature widget thinks it's raining, and that it will snow tomorrow. I believe it to be wrong on both counts.
