Now tagless for your comfort.

I have not bit like this since highschool, it's ugly.I wonder if I have fakes somewhere and if I could get them on.

I bite really badly, too. Ragged cuticles, horrible nails.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

At first glance a "reality" show that surprises participants with an intervention sounds shitty -- they think they're participating in a documentary about addiction (which is, technically, true). But it becomes quickly apparent that yes, each person featured really truly needs that intervention, and so do their families -- and the show underwrites 90 days+ of topnotch rehab, plus travel expenses.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, the length of treatment is impressive -- if they can stick it out.

Are you talking about Intervention, Theo? DH LOVES that show. It's pretty impressive and the cases they're dealing with pretty much need the ruse. They have a good track record of getting people into treatment.

Cashmere -- yeah, that show.

Saddest case maybe was the Las Vegas suntan salon owner who dropped out of rehab after like a month and subsequently died of a GI hemorrhage caused by alcohol. Some of these cases really are life or death....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is Intervention a cryfest? It looks that way from the ads.

Jesse - Dec 14, 2008 4:18:59 pm PST #6124 of 10002
Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Most of the crying is in the actual intervention, I think, which is really just the end of the show. Oh except for the moms who cry throughout. The rest of the show is a drug fest/trainwreck.
