Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

hip deep in pie

I just realized that the odd piece of metal lying on the ground by my front steps is a piece of flashing from around my chimney. It must have come off in the wind last night. I guess I call a roofer about this? Wait, my roof is under warranty. I wonder if that is just for the shingles...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Recruiter called me this morning and I didn't answer. I called to apologise before I checked the call log--he called at 7am. Isn't it the caller's responsibility to not call me on eastern time? I mean, I don't know where he's calling from, and he knows where he's calling.

I wonder if it'll count against me? Although I'm pretty sure it's the wrong position.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have some shopping to do, but I'm scared.

As you should be. Target was a blessed madhouse today.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think calling at 7:00 on a saturday puts the blame solidly on him.

eta: I made it to Target, Ulta. Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walgreens, and Trader Joes this morning, and Walgreens was by far the worst.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Lisah, thanks! I've forwarded the list (I think they were driving down today, so as long as he checks his email before dinner they should still be useful).

So far today I've been to Williams-Sonoma, Whole Paycheck, and The Container Store. Dear god, I've turned into a yuppie.

Just got back from a family walk in the park, cut short by it being FRACKING FREEZING OUT THERE. And somehow, it's supposed to reach 60 again on Monday. W.T.F. weather?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I haven't gone out yet, and now I'm scared.

brenda, I haven't gotten an email from Nilly either. Extra-slacky slackers, you still have time to email her!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

So far we've been to Cost Plus (or World Market, whichever you prefer) and BevMo. Both were not too bad. Soon we head over to Trader Joe's - I'm expecting horribleness.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

“Not dead yet!”

OMG, local writing chapter's holiday party was actually fun. And the food was so good. (Gotta love Carrabba's-- for a chain, fairly nummy._

Scampi Damian was so garlicky I'm going to be sweating it for the next three days. I'm now very, very sleepy, yet should work.

I think a nap will win.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We went to karate a pet store (fish stuff) and mcd. No more outside for us today. while I made cookie dough, mac played video games, then I joined him. We've hung a few ornaments on the tree. While doing so, discovered that Oz had peed and pooped on the tree skirt. Grrrr. At least it is just a plstic table cloth. Now we are doing the dreaded writing portion of 6riday homework. It is akin to torture mac would have us all know.
