I made a Trader Joe's banana bread box mix last night, which is damn tasty for breakfast.

I had to dip into the mall on my way home form the farmer's market to pick up a package and, holy dinah, it was busy at 10:30.
I have some shopping to do, but I'm scared.
I looked at my bank balance this morning, and now I'm scared.
I got the pink socks for my nephew, now I need something to go with them...I'm thinking movie money or maybe a video game. I usually end up buying games he hates, so movie money might be a better bet. Maybe I'll go to a record shop and buy him so stickers for his guitar case too.
We are running away , just over night. Up to wine country fo a couple of days. Our anniversary was wedneday, so we decided to escape,
Hey, is anyone here a slacker secret santa? Did you get your name from Nilly yet? I'm hoping she just didn't get around to it before the Sabbath and not that I lost or deleted the email somehow.
Oh, this is random, but last week I was walking home from work and it was the end of the lighting ceremony for the tree etc. at the stock market. So as I walked by, someone was finishing singing, and people were cheering, and then she just said thanks for coming, standing out in the rain, etc. I kind of thought I recognized her voice, but not enough to figure out who it was -- I figured it wasn't really anyone. But then the other day I was on the NYSE website looking for something else, and it was ARETHA FRANKLIN. Now I'm bummed out I missed her!!

Oh, wonderful, Beth. If you go to Sonoma County, I highly recommend Hook and Ladder winery, and the little complex of tasting rooms on the Russian River just south of Healdsburg--Sapphire Hill is one of them, and they have a fantastic zinfandel (if you like fruit-bomb zins, which not everyone does).
Good for you beth & Matt! Our favorite winery is Vincent Arroyo in Calistoga: [link]
They make fantastic reds, and name wines after their dogs. They're tiny, but when Jeff and I went there the first time and sat down to eat our PB&J lunch, the owner brought two full glasses of wine for us out of the library.
I now pay outrageous shipping costs to make sure I get my bottles of Bodega & JJ's blend.
Oh, wine . . . I miss you so.
I haven't been here much, so I haven't had the chance to say this, but CONGRATULATIONS SPARKY!!!!!
