I'm so glad those factory workers in Chicago who had to occupy the shut plant got their benefits. Not as glad as if the company had stayed open, but still -- that's the kind of parachute that the working man/woman deserves.

Oh my. Is this the worst jewelry a man could wear?
I'm guessing this is an old ad.

Damn.
I wouldn't say that labor was easy or exactly fun for me, but I did two without any drugs and did in fact find it very rewarding. The endorphin rush afterwards was STUNNING - I can see how people would compare it to orgasm. I was totally high and pain-free and couldn't sleep for about 18 hours after each kid. I compare labor to running a marathon - it was painful, in the way that working hard at something is painful, but the feeling of victory was way cool.
Note, I have not and do not plan to ever run a marathon. I'm not CRAZY.
My birth experience involved lots of drugs and an emergency c-section and quite frankly sucked. Still planning to do it again, though.
I've been to Love Saves the Day in New Hope! Many times, actually, when we lived just south of there. I'm glad it's not closing, at least.
My SiL says he really does like pink. They had pink cammo hockey tape at the sporting goods store the other night and she said he would love it. She didn't get it because she said my brother would have a fit.
Sue, is the kid a Red Wings fan? [link]
My mom lives right by New Hope, so I can probably drag her to it at some point during Xmas break! ::makes a note::
I'm still groggy from the Tylenol PM, so not much of note accomplished today, yet.
