Perkins, go to your local fabric or craft store, get a big spool of black organza ribbon (that's the sheer-ish, slightly shiny stuff), and tie pretty black bows on your tree.

It's okay now, because I'm home. This morning, I was away for work north of the city, and let me tell you, they got more snow there. And then the hotel lost power. And then we were going to leave, but we didn't, and it was cold, and OMGWTF.
Almost all of the snow in New Orleans has melted. It's going to be a little uglier on the north shore tomorrow.
